My son and I are working through a Master Brake Cylinder replacement. The bleed procedure is generated by AlfaOBD. When we try to run it we get an error indicating that the ECU firmware isn't up to date. So, it looks like we'll have to use WiTech to update the firmware on the ECU. Google-fu has been very weak as to the exact equipment necessary, the procedure for registering, the actual flash procedure, and the location of the actual software to flash. I know that a misstep here can brick... Any WiTech experts ..read more

my 2015 Fiat 500e went dead after I parked when the ABS RBS ESC warnings went on. I thought I would just lose RBS and cruise control but folks thought the car would still run. Any ideas? Is this just a coincidence. The 12 volt battery is okay. Would a faulty wheel sensor cause this fatality.? I hate to have it towed to the dealer unless necessary. Thanks. 'NOT READY' after winter disconnect

Not ready after winter disconnect for 2 months, battery still at 85%, replaced 12v battery. The ALFAOBD error that would not clear is in the electric vehicle control module, u016B. Even after clearing it, it beeps and comes back. It refers to the A/C system, which had a compressor failure last year. (did not fix it as the car ran well). When turning the car on, the 'not ready' comes on, and will not shift into R or D, sometimes goes into N. (have removed the humidity sensor, and read... Rain water ingress

Hoping someone may have advice or a pointer... Found wet padding/carpet in the driver's side footwell. Must have been there for a while, but recent heavy rains made it obvious (heavy fogged windows and visible water under floot mat). After drying it out carefully (pulled up carpet+pad and used towels and blowing air under the foam padding), water has returned with the rains again. So it is definitely rain water, and an overnight rain added approximately a half cup of water, so not caused... Rain water ingress ..read more

Hey guys. A while back I was on this forum fixing my 2015 500e that had its BPCM fail on me. At the time it was my mother's car. But over the months driving it around town i absolutely fell in love with it and sold my volvo to buy it off her. Now that it's mine I have so plans I want to do it it. I want to upgrade its drag coefficient as much as I can with the underfloor panels, windshield wiper delete, lowering, and most likely more. But first things first, wheels. I hate the dial ins sorry... Upgrading my 500e ..read more

Have not posted here yet, but gotten some great info. Thought I'd pass this along since I have read many posts on LED light upgrades, and the pain in the butt that is the brake light. I have successfully upgraded most all of the lights on my 2015 500e. The big thorn in my side is the brake lights. I literally searched high and low for a brake light that didn't throw an error. Even ones suggested in all the posts on here - nothing worked! I tried literally everything on amazon! Finally I... FINALLY! LED brake bights that work ..read more

Hello, I've been browsing this forum for a while. I bought a 2015 fiat 500e with around 50,000 miles. I was looking into getting it serviced in the south florida area, and took it to a fiat service. They weren't able to service the car but did give me the error codes ..read more

Howdy folks, I run a newly opened EV repair shop in Portland (independently owned QC Charge "franchise" location). We mostly service Tesla powered cars, among other EVs. While I'm not super well versed enough in the 500e to consider myself an expert when it comes to fixing them, I know just enough to be dangerous (I did have one as my first EV after all, which if you search my profile I made a few posts about). In any case, I've got a customer who brought in a 2015 Fiat 500e for a no-start... Unable to communicate with BCPM via AlfaOBD ..read more
