Hi all: I'm looking to try on different Daytonas, maybe the 116500 vs the 116520 pre-ceramic or some of the precious metal Daytonas. I'm also looking to try on some VC overseas etc. The Rolex ADs barely even have new Daytonas to try on, and they don't have the older models. Recently one AD has the new two tone Daytona, but that was it. When I went to the VC boutique in the city last month, the only thing they had to try on was a 50K gold overseas dual time. I have a Rolex Daytona ref 116520 purchased in 2000 and it has a A serial. I sent it to Rolex for service and they told me it's the only Known 116520 with A serial number. They told me the first 116520 were suppose to be P serial. Does anyone else have an A serial 116520 Daytona there must be more out there. I wonder if that adds any value ..read more

Thanks to this board, I ended up putting my 116500 on an Oysterflex a few years back and made sure to get the smarty end links to go with it (wouldn’t look right otherwise). Since then, I haven’t put it back on the steel bracelet. Was wondering if you can put the SS 126500 on an Oysterflex as well and if so, how it looks. I don’t think I’ve seen one on here before. Part 2. - The watch to part ex was bought grey market, does that affect relationship with AD having got it grey instead of through them.
