Hi everyone, I've just joined the forum and I know here we go again with a newbie with a problem. My daughter owns a 308 SW, 1.6hdi, on an 11 plate, I have been working on the car in prep for the MOT. The problem is blue smoke coming from the engine bay. I have noticed that it appears to be coming from behind the oil filter housing, normally I would assume oil hitting the exhaust but, given that there is no drop in levels I'm kinda ruling this out. Thanks for reading, A perfectly running 308 Turbo Petrol 2007 will now not start. Rotating the key to the starting position, the engine turns over a couple of times then shuts off itself, even though I have the key in the starting position. Normally of course if there is a starting issue as I have seen before in our 207 and other cars, the engine keeps cranking as long as you have the key in the start position. Hoping for better luck in this forum ) Try as I may I cannot determine from the manual how to lock the car with the alarm disabled. The only method that seems to work is to lock the car, unlock the car then wait 30 seconds for the car to lock itself. Timewasting ... A method detailed in the manual: click the closed padlock on the 'plip', then click it again within 5 seconds - does not seem to work. Any ideas ? Regards, Jim ..read more

My Pug 308 on a 10 plate (360000 miles diesel) is normally quiet as a mouse. I have noticed a knocking noise from the boot area, I have check the spare wheel and jack for movement, I have also took all the panels off and check for something such a s cables knocking on the bodywork (that what it sounds like).
