2015 Veloster turbo here. Engine mods: Cold air intake High flow cat Muffler delete I was cruising in my veloster tonight. Decided to do a little pull up to about 7000 rpm in first gear. After I backed off, I go to accelerate again and have a ≈ 75% power loss. In addition to the turbo now sounding like a dying cat ?. Car can still runs ( slowly ). No engine lights or codes thrown. When tested with an OBD II sensor, boost PSI is negative regular of rpm or speed. This morning I started my base 2012 and drove it about 10 feet before it made a really loud clunk, and got about twice as loud. It sounds like something with my exhaust just fell off under my car but I noticed it started violently shaking when I tried to change gears or put the gas down in general so it can’t just be the exhaust. I just bought it about two months ago and the dealer I got it from said they had just replaced the clutch in house, so it could be something to do with that?? I am using the spark plugs sold to me by the dealership, NGK. I replaced the coils and spark plugs in november and have gone through four sets since then. When we pull them out, they are ashy, no oil. Backfires frequently. It burns oil, have to put in about a quart a month. Dealership said the codes said its misfires on all four cylinders. They did a compression test and a leak down test and have come up with no answers, only want to keep selling me sparkplugs. I have a mechanic friend who has said it seems like a timing issue, but its not giving timing codes. He also suspects the connecting ..read more

Winner winner chicken dinner! We bought a clean used 2015 base Veloster w/ 107k miles for kids college car. 3 months in the engine blew. Minus a few missing hart beats.
