I picked this up a couple months ago after randomly searching and finding one just over an hour away, I was off to take a look with cash in hand. When I got it: It needed a bunch of hatch work (as expected) and had a few things I fixed along the way. The front shocks were leaking so the suspension overhaul recently took place. How it sits so far: ... Read more ..read more

Hey folks. 2008 tundra 5.7, crew max 4x4 with stock suspension. I don’t plan on a lift, just need to replace the very old Toyota shocks. I do go off road some but it’s all blm roads and washboard trails, no rock crawling or the like. Aside from the diamondback bed cover weight, I will be towing a small expedition camper which will weigh approx 3000 +/- lbs wet. I do plan to add sumo springs at some point front and back. I’m starting with the rear shocks and then will replace the front... Read more ..read more

Just stopping in to intro myself and say hi. Recently nought a 2011 SR5 4x4 with 130k miles on it. So far I love this thing. Sold my single cab 2 seater Tacoma to get into this. I’d like to do a real lift instead if this block lift it’s got. I bought an under seat storage and a 13” radio antenna but that’s it so far. I’ve gotta go slow with this thing since I just dumped a pile of money into my Fj60. Looking for good lift recommendations. ... Read more ..read more

Change ‘01 sequoia antenna from powered to fixed

Hello everyone. I’m trying to turn my 01 sequoia limited antenna, which is powered, to a fixed base. I assumed I could just buy a fixed base and be done with it. However, I’ve run into a mess of part numbers, discontinued parts, etc and I’m hoping someone more wise in the ways of Toyota can help. I have made three purchases from people that “swore” their fix would work and they never do. The old fixed antenna base main wire to the head unit is cut so reusing that could prove... 2nd gen Sequoia differential bearing part numbers? I could order them through Toyota but I would like to price them out first.

Does anyone have the Koyo or Timken bearing numbers for the front and rear differentials? I could order through Toyota but would like to price them out elsewhere first. I will be replacing bearings etc... whenever the rear locker comes in. I was considering the whole kit from Tandem, but they don't seem to answer emails until you've paid them money. I would rather buy used diffs, tear them down; and buy all the parts to set up my diffs elsewhere at this point ..read more

Hi all, just joined and wanted to do a short intro. I just purchased a 2017 Sequoia Limited 4x4 with 83k miles. This is my first large truck/suv coming from a RAV4 so this a huge difference/upgrade for me. It's so much nicer to have all this space. I like to do a lot of outdoor stuff like fishing and camping. Once in a while, some of my friends go camping in pretty secluded places that require off roading so this will be nice once I get it lifted with tires. I will be looking to do some... Hey Guys......Long time Land Cruiser Guy (30+Yrs) However, recently I picked up a 2002 Tundra Sr5. It has the push button/ actuator 4wd set up. This week the 4H light started flashing and it seems the t-case is stuck in 4H. Both drive shafts turn, like the t-case is in 4wd . But the front Diff is not engaging. Checked power to t-case actuator and both sensors. They have 12.5 v. It wont shift into 4L or 2wd. Any Ideas- Thoughts- Help Please.... All my other Toyotas have a t case shifter in... 2021 Sequoia TRD Sport - leaking shocks?

Took the Sequoia for its 40kmi service and the tech said all four shocks are leaking*. I think that what he sees is residue from FluidFilm application. Haven’t noticed anything in driving to suggest the shocks are not functioning properly. Question: is it common for those Bilsteins to leak? I’ve read (on a Bilstein site) that some leakage is normal. Question: is it likely that all four shocks would leak? What could cause that? Thanks! * and, of course, recommends replacing all four ..read more
