Lifestyle Newborn photo sessions are probably some of my favorite to photograph! All newborns are ridiculously cute and sweet! Plus, they’re small and tiny, and I just wish I could cuddle all of them! (But I don’t because, ya know, Covid and the pandemic) The relaxed feel of a lifestyle newborn photography session is one of the many reasons I only photograph lifestyle newborns and not posed newborns. There’s not wrapping, getting newborns into awkward positions, and it’s not a big deal if the baby isn’t sleeping during their photos. New parents have enough to worry about without the added stre ..read more

Should you schedule a mini-session or a full photo session is a question I receive a lot this time of year. I wish I could give you the simple yes or no answer, but unfortunately, it’s not that easy. Fornutately, I can give you my personal best advice because after being in business for awhile, I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to mini-sessions. What works? Having kids and adults that will cooperate and take direction well. With mini-sessions only lasting 10 minutes, I need full cooperation from all parties involved. I’ve become very efficient at maximizing my time wit ..read more

It’s Fall! It might still feel like summer at times, but the leaves are slowly changing and falling on the ground. It’s going to be beautiful in Round Rock and Austin within the next few weeks! I’m in full on busy season mode! My calendar is quickly filling up, and I’ve decided to not take on as many photo shoots as I have in years past to spend a bit more time with my family an be a little less stressed. See, I’m a perfectionist. Which is not necessarily a bad thing but it can be. However, my perfectionist tendency means me working longer hours and not spending quality time with my family. Can you believe it’s August already?! This endless, hot summer seems to be flying! But it’s that time of year, I announce my mini-sessions for the Fall! I’ve had to restructure my mini-sessions for this year due to family obligations, my own kids’ activities, and business travel. I will be offering some weekday evening mini-sessions and a weekend mini-session. You’ll notice I had to increase my prices this year. Unlike many other photographers in the area, I was able to keep my prices the same during the Covid pandemic and Austin-area inflation. I was very proud to be able to not have to incre ..read more

Sometimes you just want a photo session of you and your partner. And having an amazing couples photo shoot is worth it! But how do you have an entire photo shoot with just 2 people? Easy! I make sure I use the entire location around me to create fun, loving, and memorable photos! For this photo session, we used Pfluger Park in Pflugerville. We walked to several different areas to create different poses and added some fun flare to it, like using a tree as a prop. One of the reasons I love photographing sessions in this location is because of the variety I can get out of the park. Plus, this par ..read more
