My sister has a problem with her recently purchased 2012 Patriot Latitude 4 cylinder AWD. This last week it started and traveled a short distance, but lost power, and stopped moving. When she restarts the vehicle it makes an awful loud noise from the rear of the vehicle. Trying to wire relay for spotlights up to high beam. However the Hi/Lo H9 build only has two wires +ve and earth and voltage on the +be is always 12v. This means it is no good to drive the really. Looking for what this part is or where to look to help identify it. It's on a 2013 Jeep Compass Sport FWD 2.0L. I found it after I removed the front passenger wheel well liner to flush the engine coolant. The part was located just below the coolant drain valve and fastened to the front-end of the frame on the passenger end. Good day all. 2015 Patroit 125000 miles.. Had a pressure sensor irregularity. Being that i was putting all new tread on I went ahead and got 4 dorman sensors from rock auto.. Upon finishing up the tire change and new sensors install, it appeared that all went well. Hi all 2015 Patriot just changed all 4 TP sensors with Dorman programmed sensors. Tire sensors are now showing corret pressure in the indicator window howeber upon initial start up the indicator shows a "Check TP Sys" it will go out when you hit the reset.
