Was driving my wife’s 2015 Patriot today and we we’d been driving on the highway for over an hour at around 80mph and I noticed one of the temp sensors went off (gear with thermometer, just above water temp gauge) but water temp was normal in the center. Is this transmission overheat? Owner manual doesn’t say transmission but google searches do, seemed to shift rough when pulling over while downshifting and whining. So for a month or so, ive had a loud growling noise coming from the rear of my Patriot. It's a 2012, 88k miles, 5-speed manual. The rear's are drums. I went to replace the rear passenger side bearing, and from the start it was a pain. After managing to get the 4 bolts that hold the bearing in place out, no matter what I did I couldn't remove the bearing. For a few hours I tried everything from beating them with a brass rod and a hammer, to using an air hammer. They will not budge. 2012 Jeep Patriot Sport Passenger headlight stopped working so I replaced the bulb, didn’t fix it. I then noticed that if I cut my brights on, the passenger headlight would work but drivers side wouldn’t. Checked and cleaned grounds. Checked fuses. Replaced left multifunction switch. We have a 2010 Jeep Patriot, once in a while when we're at a stop sign or stop light it acts like it's going to die. Bogs down and we have to release the brake for it to stop. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does it's pretty stressful cuz you've obviously think the cars going to die. We've taken it to dealerships and they said everything checks out fine. Okay so my little patriot? Cursed this creature is cursed, I saged it burned inscents no luck so I have come to Reddit: I attached a video of the noise I’m speaking about from here on out.
