Hello my 2004 Grand Cherokee Freedom Edition 4.7HO 4x4 with hydraulic engine cooling, that we built at the dealership, ordered and I bought new, now has 65k on the odometer. It has been meticulously maintained having the 30k and 60k scheduled services performed plus LOF every 3500 miles or 1 year which ever comes first plus tire rotation every 6000 miles. My dealership recently performed the LOF and recommended having my brake and power steering fluid flushed. They gave me a quote that... 2003 WJ Grand Cherokee WJ I've been throwing the code P0446 (small evap leak) and finally took my WJ to a shop as I cannot get down to work on it. I smoked the system prior to taking it in, and the smoke was for sure between the assembly behind the LR wheel and the fuel tank. Shop reported MANY deteriorated hoses in there and not possible to fabricate new ones to replace moulded OEM hoses. They nailed me for $300, but really solved nothing (except emptying my wallet for replacing a few... Need Evap Hoses behind LR Tire (Cannot pass emissions ..read more

I need a bit of electrical help fellas... I picked up a Vehicle Information Center out of a 1997 JGC Limited for my 98' Laredo. I am looking to learn some things about my Cherokee and learn a thing or two about electrical stuff. I have already done the research and ran the wires, soldered, and put everything back together. I disconnected the battery for about 30min, thinking it would reset the ECM to learn the new module. Here are a few diagrams showing what was in the Cherokee for the... Hi, I have a 2013 Grand Cherokee that I love to drive.. However, I have been having trouble with the cooling fan coming on at lower than normal temperature... ie: around 40*....on short trips to the grocery store etc. I have had it to several Jeep technicians who scan it and say its working fine.. but, they are not taking it for a test drive, just putting their foot on the accelerator to bring it up to temp. Yes, it only happens when its being driven, and it doesn't happen on a long trip... Cooling Fan malfunction ..read more

Bought New April 2019. Now has 26k miles, garage parked, work from home, etc. Love to get some feedback on an issue. So a couple of weeks ago, my battery needed a jump. Ok I jumped it and then basically had to replace the main battery, which I did. The interesting thing was that 2 months after the 36m/36k factory warranty, June 2022, the START/STOP function stopped working. Which was great because I hate it. At that time, I made the assumption, this was related to the fact of the... JGC High Altitude - Battery Issue/Question ..read more

Hi everyone, I have a 2018 Jeep GC that is now throwing a CEL with P208E2. It’s still drives fine but the CEL sometimes clears itself and comes back too. I can clear it and it would come back in 2-3 ignitions. So the code is relating to the diesel air intake position sensor circuit low issue. I have opened up the turbo hose in front of throttle body and given it a good clean and did see the butterfly flap opening and closing with different ignition cycles/positions. One mechanic suggested... Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel P02E8 Code ..read more

So I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, that makes this sound that is so hard to put into words I'm not going to try. At two to five mph you can hear a faint grinding but then it increases with speed but only during acceleration, if I coat it put it in neutral it goes away but as soon as you put pressure on the gas pedal it's back. I have put it on jack stands and the e doesn't appear to be excessive movement in the wheels. I put it in gear and both wheels start going forward but the driver... I'm so confused ..read more
