When we started planning their engagement photoshoot, Aubrey and Kevin said every photographer's favorite words "We trust you and your artistic vision!" Love that! Their only request was that the overall vibe be more editorial than traditional. I think we nailed it! Engagement Photoshoot Mustang Island, Texas After talking through a few location options, I brought up the idea of incorporating a cool vintage car into their photoshoot. The brown vintage Cadillac from Finders Keepers Classics was the perfect match for their session. It was a cold chilly morning on the day of our photoshoot, but ..read more

Taking my little brother's engagement photos will always be one of my absolute favorite memories. Ming is the perfect partner for Wesley and I could not be more grateful that they found each other... again! Wesley first met Ming in middle school. They were fast friends and clearly had a little crush on each other. Unfortunately, her family moved out of state a year or so later, and Wesley and Ming lost touch. Fast forward to a few years ago when Wes first told me that he had reconnected with Ming online... I KNEW they were going to fall in love. It was a highlight of my life as a big sister to ..read more

Surprise proposal photoshoots are always so special and exciting to capture. With the help of Olivia's loving family, Zach proposed on a beautiful sand dune surrounded by wild sea oats just before sunset. Olivia said YES! My favorite moment during this photoshoot was when Olivia's family ran out from behind the dunes to congratulate the newly engaged couple! Zach and Olivia were immediately engulfed in a giant hug! It was the sweetest moment. After taking some photos with Olivia's family, we took some time to take photos of just Zach and Olivia enjoying their first moments as a newly engaged c ..read more

Jess & Dennis - Small Wedding

The smell of fresh-cut flowers filled the house as we started taking photos. Jess and her sister hand-made all of the bouquets and floral arrangements the night before. As I started taking photos of the beautiful details that Jess had curated for her wedding, she sat down crisscrossed on the floor to handwrite notes to her soon-to-be husband, her parents, and her sister. Dennis's brother helped him get ready in the guest house while Jess's sister and parents helped her get ready. The electric feeling of anticipation rose as we packed up items into our cars to head to the ceremony. I captured t ..read more

Jen and Ben were the absolute sweetest parents to be. We spent a serene sunrise together documenting their first pregnancy. During our pre-session consultation, Jen asked if it would be alright to bring two dresses for her session because she wanted to take a few photos in her mom's maternity dress! YES was my immediate answer! I absolutely love when family heirlooms can be incorporated into photoshoots. Maternity Photoshoot - North Padre Island, Texas ..read more

Kathryn and I had sweet plans for a cuddly mommy and me session, but her toddler had other ideas in mind! Full of energy, little Bo, ran in and out of frame and danced to music that played from Kathryn's phone. Even though we didn't get quite as many cuddles as we had first imagined, I think we captured something a little more special; a snippet of Bo's feisty personality as he transitions from an only child into a big brother! Not to mention the gorgeous photos of Kathryn and her perfect baby bump! For any mommas thinking about planning a mommy and me photoshoot, please understand that it is ..read more

Corpus Christi, Texas - Event Photography After the unusual freeze that Texas endured just a week before this party, it was incredible to feel the hot sun and enjoy candy, drinks, and ice cream cake poolside. I can honestly say that I've never photographed a sweeter birthday party. Larger than life candy floats, candy themed balloon walls, candy themed drinks for the grown-ups, and a piƱata to finish the day, even my enormous sweet tooth was satisfied. This party was the perfect way to start the summer season! Party Planner: JoAnne Howell - Oh Goodie Design + Events Balloon Decor: Therese Mar ..read more
