Meet Avery! She’s a high school senior graduating this Spring. She loves creating art, going to concerts, and going shopping with her friends. She contacted us a few months ago with her heart set on The Sekrit Theater as the location for her session. This greenhouse is beautiful at the start of Spring. The vines and trees had started to bloom.  I loved her black and white outfit that paired perfectly with the vintage checkerboard floor. Playlist for this session: Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Gracie Abrams ..read more

Fun Austin Courthouse Wedding | Nina & Curtis

I’ll say it again…forget everything you know about courthouse weddings. They’re the best! The downtown Austin Travis County Courthouse is particularly a great experience for my couples. It’s never crowded, ceremonies always start on time, the judges are super personable and considerate, and the courthouse building is beautiful. Nina & Curtis were married in an intimate ceremony last week. Their only guest was Curtis’ daughter, who was thrilled to be there and was such an important part of the day. She even had her own special moments with the bride & groom. We started with a first loo ..read more

The best engagement photos include some type of activity that feels natural and fun. Doing something in your photos automatically makes them more interesting and personal. Bree & Terrence wanted to start their session at Meanwhile Brewing, one of their favorites (and mine!) in Austin. These photos feel like they were taken during a real date, and they kind of were! Engagement photos are the ultimate date. I first met Bree & Terrence when he proposed at Laguna Gloria earlier this year. If you want to see a gorgeous and super stylish proposal, don’t miss this.  See their proposal p ..read more

Ahhhh! I just finished editing Ale & Zack’s engagement photos and need to share them right now. We rescheduled their session twice because of below freezing winter storms. On our third try, we lucked out with a sunny, 70 degree day. In January! It was worth the wait. Ale wore three gorgeous dresses. The first dress – a last minute addition – was a glamorous short wedding dress with a long, lacy cape train. It had exposed shoulders and long 80’s inspired sleeves. She said this isn’t her wedding dress, but she may wear it to a bridal shower or a wedding after party. How fun! Her second and ..read more

Photographers: If you’re treating proposals exactly like engagement sessions, your clients are missing out. Here’s how Taking ????? ?????? photos is very different than taking candid ??????? photos at an engagement session. What do I mean by “truly candid”? Let’s dive deeper. You’ve only communicated with one partner Imagine preparing for an engagement session with a male/female couple. Imagine only being able to plan the session with the guy. Meet Ellie! She graduated from Texas State in December, and we had the best time taking her senior photos! We started Ellie’s session at the McCoy Business building, where we took most of her classes as a Computer Information Systems major. Her first outfit was one of my favorites I’ve ever seen for grad photos! She brought her boyfriend and her dog along for moral support, and they jumped in a few photos too. Campus was glowing that evening with the most beautiful light, and we love her photos ..read more

#MarryMeMonday This was such a fun proposal! Andres & Kaley live in Houston but came to Seguin to visit her family for the weekend. He’s busy with law school, and they don’t have much to travel and spend time together, so he suggested they drive to New Braunfels to have have lunch, just the two of them. On their way back out of town that afternoon, Andres drove them to the Faust Street Bridge and asked Kaley to walk with him. The sun was setting, and the bridge was gorgeous in the golden light. The bridge also happened to be totally empty when they arrived, so they had a totally private pr ..read more
