Transmission shift selector shaft stuck ?

I don't know how this happened or when because the car hasn't been driven in 2 years but after i installed the shifter boot, metal bushing, and spherical shifter bushings when I tried to test how it felt the shifter wouldn't move side to side or let me put it in gear. So I checked all the components and reinstalled all the old stuff and same thing. I read somewhere they can get stuck in gear but can be released by opening the rear of the shaft and sticking a flat head in there but Its hard... Transmission shift selector shaft stuck ..read more

I just picked up a fairly solid 1988 AW11 slicktop with some suspension bits (Megan Racing coilovers (would rather have something better but they'll work for now), a Whiteline front sway bar and drop links, and poly bushings everywhere I can see. The steering does this weird thing from time to time where it decides between two different steering wheel positions for driving straight ahead, i.e. the wheel is aligned correctly until the road crowns or you turn slightly, feel the body of the... 1988 Steering/Suspension Oddities ..read more

I've been looking at fixing up the exhaust on my 4agze aw11 and was hoping to get the stock diameter of the 4agze headers/exhaust manifold runners and end flange. I've done some measuring and by the looks of it at some point in the past the exhaust was swapped out for one that 0.5 inches too narrow compared to the stock 4agze exhaust diameter (1.75in currently on the car vs 2.25in stock diameter from forums) and I'm wondering if the headers were swapped with it, I suspect the previous owner... 4AGZE va 4AGE header/exhaust manifold dimensions and specifications ..read more

Power steering

I just bought a black 93 SW20 Turbo w/83K miles through an online auction. The auction ad stated that the car has "power steering", but upon delivery, I discovered that it definitely does NOT have power steering. I could "feel" that it doesn't, and upon looking in the frunk, there is neither a power steering pump nor a p/s fluid reservoir on either side of the battery. Does anyone know if, and by how much this could affect the re-sale price? Thank you ..read more

Dudes, I recently purchased a Silvertop/Blacktop igniter/coil cluster with the original bracket holding them together and have a question regarding grounding wires. In this picture you can see the cut ground-wire on the right side. In this picture you can see what I believe is another... Blacktop/Silvertop igniter/coil cluster grounds question ..read more
