A little background: Engine is from a 2011 Camry I am running the FMW 2 Plug ECU and Paulwoods conversion harness. My car has no problems starting right up but I can't seem to shake these misfires in cylinder 1 and 3. Brand new injectors (toyota OEM), brand new spark plugs, PCV valve and the ignition coils are working fine. I pulled the spark plugs in 2 and 4. Ill add the photo, but 2 and 4 are way cleaner. My tachometer on my 1991 MR2 SW20 Turbo is not working. The dealer is having issues trying to fix it and all the repair shops I have taken it to cannot fix it. The car is in the LA area of SoCal. Does anyone know anyone in California or the USA who can fix a 1991 MR2 SW20 Turbo Tachometer? So yesterday I went to start my car when going to work and the car won't start. There's a clicking noise by the starter but that's all there is. My dash lights are on and everything is on. I tried start the car using jumper cables and same thing (ticking noise). I cleaned off the corrosion on the negative terminal and tried jump it again same thing. Hi, I'm currently in process of trying to get a 1992 Toyota MR2 running for a friend. They bought it a few years ago as a project as it had a issue where it would start and not run and then it had sat in a field since. Hello, I have a 1MZFE swapped MR2 that I bought off a friend. The transmission used is the Turbo E153 transmission. My question is kind of specific and I'm sorry if I missed the answer in my attempted searches. Should the engine mate directly to the transmission? It looks like they may have used something in between the engine and then transmission, some sort of plate. I sold it in CT about 2003/2004, I think. Just wondering if it's still on the road somewhere, if it's survived. The original color was that champagne gold but the kid I bought it from in 1990 had Maaco paint it black . We re-painted it the original color some years later, so if you have an '85 with some weird black overspray it might be this one.
