I was just told that the ECVT needs to be replaced in my 2019 Ioniq gas/battery hybrid. It has about 20,000 miles on it. I noticed decreased gas efficiency before the check engine light came on. Previously, I was getting about 54 mpg but lately I've been getting about 49 mpg. I've been reading about problems associated with CVT's. What should I expect once the ECVT is replaced? I bought a new Ioniq Blue Hybrid Hatchback a week ago today. Last night, having driven it about 10 miles, the radio broadcast was replaced with a happy-sounding chiming song (maybe 30-40 seconds long), and instead of showing my radio station, the radio display showed a code.
