I recently installed a platemarker on my 4800 table. Everything works, but when I run a program for the marker it moves the metal every time. I have tried different feed rates and currently, I tried it on 3/16 metal and it was a 4x4 sheet. Any advise to what I am doing wrong ..read more

Hi thanks for letting me on! Can anyone recommend a tube roller that cat roll 1 1/2" in. x .080 304 stainless. Not a tube bender because it's a slow bend. All the ones I've found seem to stop at about .043 wall thickness. We need to get open face with an electric motor. We are making our own Rails now for our offshore fishing boats. I think maybe we weren't ready yet. Thanks for any help! Skipjack Mike ..read more

Hello guys, I’m new here. I’ve got a 15’ by 48” “Jon boat”. Unfortunately, it’s been around the block and the previous owner put a motor on the back exceeding the recommended weight. I got the boat very cheap, and could honestly sell the motor etc. to make some money yet I really wanted to use this boat as a rig to practice my aluminum welding on. Anyways, because of this motor, the aluminum transom is sagging bad. The wood in the transom is gone which I know I can replace, yet I’d honestly... Fabricating boat transom ..read more

Drill bit sharpening jig.

I made this drill sharpening jig several years ago. I used a piece of 25mm square bar, linished it, milled a V for the drill, cut a 2mm slot down the centre for 110mm, drilled a stepped hole through: 5mm for 30mm and then 11.5 mm for the remaining 110mm. I had to extend an old 11.5mm drill and grind flat on the end so I could machine the end of the hole flat for a stepped bush to run on. I also drilled a couple of debris drain holes and tapped a few 5mm holes for mounting the slide plate,... Drill bit sharpening jig ..read more

This is a small belt grinder I made some time ago. Originally it had two belts, but the motor didn't have enough power to turn them, so I converted it to a single belt. I chose this size belt because there is a very wide variety of grits available. The table is adjustable and there is a platen behind the belt. The wheels were turned up from Delrin, the top wheel have bearings either side. Tracking is adjusted via the knurled knob next to the top wheel. Yes, I know the belt is on the wrong...
