With Logic 11 being released, I've updated my book The Complete Guide to Logic Pro's Scripter available on Apple Books and Amazon Kindle. Scripter allows musicians to capture and manipulate MIDI in real-time with JavaScript. The guide comes with comprehensive overviews of Scripter’s functions, the music-based JavaScript tutorial, the free open source code library on GitHub, and working examples of features not covered in Apple’s own documentation.
Updates include the following:
Verified any of the book's JavaScript code proprietary to Scripter works in Logic Pro 11.0.0.

Is anyone having issues with Drum machine designer's GUI not opening? It won't open in channel strip or instrument editor button, and I've even tried re-installing. Is there a menu setting I'm missing?

I don't know if I'm missing something but Apple is touting AI with logic 11. AI seems like I would be able to record a guitar and add a session instrument that would play along to my track. I can't seem to figure out how to do it without manually going in and changing every chord by hand.

I have an old MacBook Air (2015). I’m pretty sure it’s done. I cracked the screen (very small) a couple of years ago. The battery charges, the fan turns on, but the screen is black.
There’s music in there, it’s not really replaceable. So, I’m trying to back to making music as soon as possible for under 400 dollars. Logic Pro is my Daw. I’ve invested years in learning it. All my work is based within that software.
Question. Mac mini? I have no problem using it primarily for logic. Is this a solution?
Or, to buy a refurbished and used MacBook?
Thanks

Hey! I am quite advanced and technical when it comes to production and fixing problems on my own, but i couldn't really get this one. I have a 2012 15" retina MacBook pro with Monterey on legacy core patcher. I have recently running into a problem of audio distorting and clicking really loudly and then a pop up appears. (Check photo) (My sample rate is set to 44,1 KHz) The sample rate just randomly fluctuates. It used to happen only on really big projects with around 70+ tracks, but now it's happening on single track projects too. (I use a Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 on the same samp ..read more

So I'm using the new mastering effect that you can put on the master track to balance your song, and I would like to export it, but, wether I do it by exporting the project or by bouncing every audio file and using that, the effect disappears as soon as its out of Logic Pro.
Is there any way to export my song while keeping the effects on the master track?

The title explains it mostly, but the old UI just made sense, this new one just is nowhere near as intuitive. Is there anyway to change it back to the original?

CMD+R is causing my logic to crash since the new update. If I hit the key command a few times to loop something up, it crashes without fail
