#37 – Shane from wobbly chook Brewing Co
Continuing our NSW roadtrip, Adsy and Joel ventured to Yamba to visit Shane from the Wobbly Chook. Adsy first met the guys from the brewery at Crafted Festival on the sunny Gold Coast last September, and when he and Joel decided to do a NSW roadtrip, the Wobbly Chook was always going to be on the list. How many breweries have their own accommodation? Although we didn’t know it at the time, the Wobbly Chook has a heap of room for weary travellers and burnt out beer drinkers!

#36 – GABS festival brisbane 2024
A week or so ago now we hit GABS Festival Brisbane 2024 for the Friday night session, a new attempt by GABS to try and spread out the days so more patrons can enjoy themselves. If you saw our video of GABS Festival Brisbane 2023, you would have known that in Brisbane it’s usually been held over two sessions in the one day, with the second one being rather intoxicating, for all the wrong reasons. Those reasons are most people push through both sessions, which makes the second session quieter, but also the patons a little too inebriated. So now in 2024, GABS ..read more

#35 – Matt from Seven Mile Brewing Co
Both Adsy and Joel were looking forward to Seven Mile, not only because we got to chat to another Matt Wilson (there’s actually 3 in brewing, the other one in WA), and also not just because it was the last stop on day one of our trip, but because we’re at a brewery that we feel familiar with. Seven Mile Brewing Co is based in Ballina in the Northern NSW town of Ballina. A once thriving town as the main highway used to go through here, it’s started to sleep a little now as the highway by-passes it. But you should always take the detour to check out Seven ..read more

#34 – Brian from Spangled Drongo Brewery
Pretty excited to catch up with Brian from Spangled Drongo Brewery in Murwillumbah (Adsy even has trouble saying it), as the first official NSW brewery we have visited! Brian is an out and out local, having previously worked for some of the other large breweries in the area. You’ve probably heard of them, being Stone & Wood and Balter Brewing, definitely not small fish in this big pond we call beer. When we visited there was only a single beer being produced, a damn tasty Pale Ale, but a Lager is coming along shortly we were told. With no taproom ..read more
