Commuting via S-Bahn or U-Bahn?

22:43 22-02-24 So I am completely new to the city and was wondering the best and fastest way to commute from Neuhausen to Maxvorstadt. I am really sorry if this has been asked before but after reading the wiki page on the KVV all I got was to buy the one-way ticket as a beginner. Can I purchase tickets using Bargeld at kiosks? If so, can someone guide me to where to find one when in the city? Many thanks. submitted by /u/clyvevonindien [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

MVV Scammed Me!

Hi all! I have a question about MVV tickets: A friend of me came to visit me from Italy for 2 days and he wanted to buy a one way ticket, but he didn't have any money on his card so the payment was not approved. After that, I bought him a ticket from my account so it was fine. Now he called me that he got an email from MVV stating that he has to pay 47 EUR MAHNUNG to them and the reason that they cannot withdraw the money from his bank account. I mean which level of stupidity is this? Apparently, the app gives tickets even if the payment goes through or not. We had no idea... This is basicall ..read more

Habt ihr persönlich irgendwo gute Erfahrunge ..read more

Donate clothing

I'm doing a bit of a spring de-cluttering and I have some clothes that I would like to donate. They are good quality, some of the items barely worn, mostly all natural fabrics so it would be a shame to have to stick them in the usual textile recycling bin. How do you guys go about it? I could imagine setting up a stall at a Hofflohmarkt but I doubt it would be at all profitable and I would probably be left with most of the items anyway. Never done that on Kleinanzeigen either. submitted by /u/BagBeginning4376 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Ideal location for easy access to mountains but still reliant on public transport?

Hi all; my partner and I are looking into relocating to Munich. We are in our mid-thirties, have a dog who loves the outdoors, and generally like a quiet nature-y life but still with good city connection if we need. One of us doesn’t have their drivers license and doesn’t speak German, so my guess is we’ll be reliant on good city center public transport connection for an English-language job in the city. I do have a license and car, and would preferably live in the south so we could head out to the mountains in long evenings/weekend. I am currently looking into the southern S bahn stops and a ..read more
