So I was cruising in 6th gear last night when suddenly the car didn't accelerate and a horrible noise came from the transmission. I tried downshifting, and could easily get into any gear without a problem, but the car wouldn't accelerate. I've ordered a clutch and flywheel from whoosh last night, but does this sound weird for anyone else? Sounds like something in there is really broken. This is me letting go of the clutch pedal softly, car goes into gear easy, and clutch pedal feels... Clutch is toast, but does it sound like other stuff is also broken ..read more

Transmission whine?

Greetings, I bought a 2014 fiesta ST a few weeks ago but I've been hearing a high pitched whine on acceleration and cruising at higher speeds. Not really noticed as much at lower speeds but very noticeable past 50mph and when cruising on the motorway. The dealership are not convinced there's any issues. Anyone else know what is causing this or how to fix it or if there's even a problem to fix? At the very least I find this noise to be annoying and not a 'normal characteristic'. I took a... The clutch pedal sometimes will just stick to the floor. It pops right back up and the clutch is fine. I cannot find anything that it is getting caught on. Going to check under the hood again. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue? Only happens once in a blue moon and it isnt a pressure issue with the clutch as it pops back out with the flick of your foot and the clutch functions fine ..read more

Over the holiday break, my Coolerworx Pro Short Shifter showed up after purchasing it direct from Coolerworx in Lithuania over their Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale. The shifter was packaged very well with form fitting packaging in a nice box with carry handle. The machined components that make up the unit are very impressive and the design is borderline incredible. I really appreciate the amount of time and thought that went into designing the system. There were two imperfections on the... COOLERWORX Pro Short Shifter Installation Tips & Tricks + Linkage Redesign Discussion ..read more

Swap fiesta ST running gear into a 2011 base hatchback?

Hi, I recently bought a 2017 Fiesta ST with 49k miles for $2,500, its missing its whole front end and a missing/lost title. I don't want to deal with the process of securing a new title because I heard that it can be a very lengthy process. If I were to buy an automatic pre-facelift fiesta, would it be a straight- forward process to swap the running gear, suspension, and electronics from the fiesta ST? Would the safety and sync systems work? -Thx ..read more
