Hi. I've had my A5 for 5-10 years now, and the shifting is a bit fiddly. I think it's the 1. to 2. shift. Been 5 months since I drove it,so my memory is a bit blurry. Most likely the synchros? Also; I don't remember the specs of the 650? Hp version I have. Did it come whith upgraded fork pads??? Should I get a set? I know I have the upgraded casing, and the steel front bearing retainer. I am considering the purchase of a 2005 Mustang Premium with 4.0 Manual shift. I have not as of yet gotten to see the car but I am being told that it will only shift into reverse. When trying to shift into forward gears nothing. No resistance nothing! Here is his exact description: “The shifter in car feels loose. It will not shift into any forward gear. I see there are 4 TKXs. 1 is a 10 spline which I'm not concerned with and 1 is for autocross, also not concerned with....then there's 2 26 spline. My car is a street car and occasional drag strip. So which ratios would be better between the 2 (im leaning toward the 3.27 1st gear trans to get me out the hole faster) What im not sure of is the difference between the 5th gear ratios. I am swapping a 4R70W into a 1973 Mustang with a 351C. My original speedo is mechanical and there is no provision for electric and mechanical speed sensing on the tranny. It came out of a 2003 Mustang GT with a 3.8L. Any ideas how I can keep my original speedo with mechanical drive without spending $400 on a converter? Currently in the process of building a 1989 331 stroker motor estimated to be about 475-550 ft/lb’s of torque. I wanted to run a manual transmission capable of rolling launches, new to the scene and everything and I couldn’t seem to find any manuals t-5’s capable of handling that kind of power or any rebuild kits regarding that much power, if anyone could help that would be awesome. long time lurker, first time poster. So I came to the experts on this. I have a 2003 Mustang GT with a Windsor motor and a 4R70W transmission. I have had nothing but problems with the transmission and want to swap it out. Came across a deal on a 75W. My questions are: Can the 75W be installed on a Windsor motor? Read somewhere they will only bolt up to a Romeo block. If it can bolt up, what needs to be changed to make it work on my 03? Speed sensor? Planetary gears? Etc Thank you for your help ..read more

My 1990 auto 5.0 fox was working flawlessly but I got bored and wanted to reset my idle screw and TPS voltage. I did it exactly as in the brew2l video, the car wouldn't idle with the IAC unplugged if that matters for this question but I set the screw so it did and got the voltage at .99. After doing so my car would try to die when I gave it throttle after being stopped and it got worse the more I drove it.
