Transfer Case Control Module - Programming needed?

I've seen some conflicting threads on if a Transfer Case Control Module is plug and play, or if it needs to be programmed prior to being usable? Hoping this forum can help clarify. Online looks like they can be purchased for $189 - $250 and youtube videos all seem to show it's simple plug/play. 2002 XLT 4x4 with the 4.0. I've owned it since 2003 and is mainly driven on the weekend ..read more

Installing pre-bled clutch line

I've bled my clutch line a few times, with semi-decent results. I'm going to install a pre-bled line and master cylinder to see if I get better results. I've read several of the threads here on bleeding the clutch line in general, but just putting this out there to see if anyone has any quick suggestions on what to watch out for when installing a pre-bled line. Also, there is less info on the slave cylinder, so any notes for checking on that and connecting to the slave in the best way would be great too. I'm also taking an well wishes or prayers, if that's your thing :) 2005 Mazda B2300, 115K ..read more

Hello everyone! im having problems with my braking system in my 2000 ford ranger. i had just recently replaced my front brakes and calipers (i have drums in the rear) and i had to bleed the brakes, i bleed them starting from farthest from the ABS to the closest, and it went fine, i stopped when only brake fluid was coming out from the bleeder valve. but my brake pedal is somewhat firm, but whenever i start the truck, the pedal just sinks to the floor and returns very slowly. i think air got into the ABS system but im not sure, and i cant bleed the ABS system myself since i dont have the tools ..read more

HIGH rpm - 2008 3.0 Automatic

Hey group, So the other day when I was driving, I notice that the truck wasn’t slowing down when coming to a stop. Once I got to the light, the whole time while sitting there I was idling at 1500rpm. When I shift to park or neutral (still from 1500 because it won’t go any lower), it shoots up to 3000rpm. Talked to one guy that suggested I look for a vacuum leak, I did but doesn’t appear to be that. When I start the truck it shoots up to 3000rpm, when hot, or cold. The strange thing is that sometimes while I’m driving, the rpm’s will return to normal, but then inevitably go back to the current ..read more
