Can’t get rid of DPF Light (P1A58 - 000 - Regeneration Required) on 2013 Audi A3 TDI 8P. Has been about 8 months - the car drives fine but now I need to get it smogged. Lol - so have to fix it. Any help will be appreciated - it is out of warranty . Any idea what is going on - can the Potentiometer/Actuator for Temperature Flap; Right (G221) fault be causing this. Here are the codes. I am having a very strange issue with my 2009 Audi A3, so i was hoping someone could give me some advice or another idea to try. Its a complicated issue so i have put a decent bit of detail, if you have the time to read it i would appreciate it. I have owned the car for 6 months and the alarm has gone off 5 times (that i know of, could be more) The first two times were within the first month of ownership and could be isolated issues, one was when the boot latch was acting up so i got that replaced and second time was right after i got it detailed, the morning after i checked the battery and ..read more

A3 Base P0444 and P0234 turbo issues

P0444 and P0234 codes on my A3 Base 2.0. New updated design diverter valve is arriving tomorrow. N75 is brand new and wiring looks clean. I hear whining at low rpm which increases with engine speed. Hoping the turbo didn't get toasted. Can run some data logs if people think it would help diagnose? Crossing my fingers that its just the diaphragm on the diverter... But I will rebuild the turbo if I have to. Any help of advice would be appreciated, thanks ..read more

Inner Brake Light Issue 2011 A3 facelift (hatchback)

Hi everyone! Earlier I was using compressed air to remove dead bugs from the inner tail lights in the trunk lid so I removed the grey bulb holder assembly in the photo and blew them out. After reinstalling the assembly, the inner brake light on the passenger side would stop working intermittently. When the alert showed on the dash, I went back and fiddled with the wires and it fixed itself for a couple hours but ultimately came back. I think it seems to be a contact issue, however I really don't know what seems to be causing it. This is the post facelift 8.5p model with the angel eye tailligh ..read more

Mechanic in Los Angeles

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic/independent shop (no dealers) for my 2006 A3 P8? I'm located in mid-city Los Angeles so I would consider any shop within reasonable distance. The car is running but I have the following to be looked at: 1) Engine light 2) EPC light on 3) Water coolant is leaking pretty bad. I only use the car for errands/groceries and occasional short commutes so I don't need top performance but wanted to fix it as I still really like to drive it and it was my first Audi so it still has value to me. Thanks so much for your input ..read more

Rear wheel hub replacement issues--need help please!

So I've been having a bit of a low whine lately, so I decided to replace the rear wheel hubs on my 2017 S3. I got two of the bolts cracked open, then buggered the third one (which is a different problem). I thought I would just drill it out, but before I did that I started to take out the two bolts that did come loose. However, while I could unscrew it by hand for several turns, it starting getting harder and harder to back out and I have no idea why. I didn't want to keep cranking on those bolts and mess up some other part of the suspension. Does anyone know why the bolts would be getting ha ..read more

Vibration under 1000rpm after ecu remapping stage1. I don't know what is the cause

Last weekend I took my a3 8p 2010 2.0tfsi mt for an ecu stage1 remapping, it wasn't an "official" remapper store like you guys have in Europe (APR, REVO, etc) but it is a local shop who is famous in my area for preparing racing cars and tunning volkswagen vehicles in general. Or at least that's what I thought after doing my research in multiple forums and reading hundreds of reviews, and even getting a recomendation from my mechanic. Anyways, car was as smooth as it could be from factory, but after the stage 1 remapping I noticed that it started shaking or vibrating when rpms are below 1000 ..read more
