I will be visiting Garrard County which is Southish from Lexington. I am taking someone fishing that has never fished before. I tried the Kentucky fish and wildlife site, google, as well as my map book, and now Reddit. Looking for recommendations for areas with good bank fishing access where we can cover some ground. Rainbow, brook, and brown trout areas would be great but anything with good bank access and scenery would be great as well. Be looking at going on this fishing trip at the end of April. I unfortunately find it difficult to make friends, I’m a 40yr old grumpy man and live in bowling green Ky. I enjoy fishing, camping, hiking, birding, reading and playing video games. I don’t drink or smoke and not into the bar scene..I’m not on Facebook but I have Facebook messenger.

Looking to break out the waders this weekend. Usually I’m wading blue river or Floyd’s fork for smallmouth in the summer but have recently wanted to try fishing for trout. Would I have better luck fishing at Floyd’s fork or otter creek? Also, are the trout located in certain areas of each creek or can I find them anywhere? I’m familiar with Floyd’s fork but am curious where the best spots are to hop on at otter creek. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
