New Letter Pendants Our new letter pendants are designed in our house style, inspired by our heritage and connection to the Company of Goldsmiths and their rich tradition of goldsmithing.     The letters are inspired by the certificate our founder, Jos, received when he completed his Goldsmiths apprenticeship back in 1992. We hope you love the design and will make these necklaces part of your story as much as they are a part of ours.     ..read more

This year, our financial contribution and volunteering in partnership with the Felix project allowed them to rescue and distribute a total of 17,200 meals to people in need across London. How We Give Each year, as a team, we pick the charities we want to support through our 1% for the Planet giving. Through this initiative, we have committed to donating 1% of our annual turnover (not profit) to environmental organisations. They keep us accountable through good and bad years of business, adding another dimension to our commitment to 'using business as a force for change'. It is putting our mo ..read more

OUR GUIDE TO WEDDING BANDS  Engagement rings get a lot of attention; they are the wow factor, the exciting beginning, and the crescendo moment in a good romantic movie. They mark the milestone as couples move into the next stage of their relationship. We love making beautiful engagement rings that symbolise that joyful moment!   Sitting quietly beside the engagement ring is the often-overlooked wedding band. We wanted to give the wedding band some love this week and tell you why they are important.    Wedding bands actually pre-date the engagement ring. Both parties tradit ..read more

Most of you will know that we are very proud of our B Corp status. We have said time and time again that we are committed to constantly looking for new ways of improving our business for people and planet.   But what does this actually look like?  We are used to hearing brands talk vaguely about their ethics and never seeing evidence of change. Part of our desire to become a certified B Corp was the high social and environmental performance standards, accountability and transparency to which they hold their certified businesses.    Since our certificat ..read more

Story of a Bespoke Hair Pin
EC One Blog
by Alison Skeates

We've had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with some very creative people over our years in business. This project was a really special one.  Recently, an architect paid us a visit with a special Hair pin request for her wedding day. Instead of our usual bespoke sketching, talking and refining process; this customer had made a very detailed scale drawing of the design and printed a scale version in resin!   The Hair Pin was to be made in gold-plated sterling silver and attached with hanging chains, delicately interspersed with pearls. It was clear, well designed and ..read more

Truer words have never been said than when summing up the love story of Zak and Zoe. They met in the midst of the global pandemic and married later that year at a beautiful wedding in Oxford. It's a real joy for us to be able to share some of the images of their gorgeous day.   When Zak contacted us, we helped him realise his vision; drawing designs and crafting the engagement ring in our workshop from recycled gold.       "EC One was such a joy to work with to help turn the vision for my wife's engagement ring into a reality. Their expert advice and cl ..read more

Pearls

Pearls are the birthstone of June and have long been associated with purity, sincerity and prosperity. Their beautiful glow and reflection are known as their lustre. Shape and size-wise, traditionally, the roundest pearls were perceived as most attractive. Now we are embracing stunning organic baroque shapes and the tiniest seed pearls. Pearls are an organic gem that grows inside oysters and mussels. Natural pearls (which are very rare) occur when an irritant enters the shell, and the mollusc secretes a substance called nacre around it. This might be a piece of sand or a ..read more

Get to know Exmouth Market...

One of the best parts of EC One is our location. We absolutely love being situated on Exmouth Market. The street is full of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.  When you pop along to the shop, make a day of it and enjoy the laid back cosmopolitan atmosphere.   Shops Space Established in 1998, the Mum and Daughter team somehow fell into retail and found that there’s a whole lot of fun to be had when you’re selling good stuff to good people. The shop is bright, colourful and packed with great gifts - either for others or yourself! The team have a passion for pattern and colour ..read more
