Hi, we wish to visit the D-day beaches in October. I'd rent a car and drive there, but are there tours available at the sites that don't include transportation from Paris? Thanks ..read more

Bordeaux tram at airport

I’m arriving in Bordeaux in may (weekday 8:40 am). I’m checking transport alternatives to the city from the airport. I read the Tram line A now connects the airport to downtown. It would be a good option since my hotel is not so far from Porte de Bourgogne tram stop. Though my baggage will be not so heavy, it is 80cms (32 inches) tall. So my question is, do trams have enough space inside, to carry a large suitcase without bothering others, considering it will be early on a weekday morning (maybe crowdy)? Or do they have spaces for baggage like the RER B at CDG? The other option that I see an ..read more

What bus No. from CDG to Roissy Ville?

Two years ago when I overnighted at the HI Express at CDG, I took the CDGVAL to the T3 station and a bus from there to Roissy for dinner. I will have almost 7 hours between flights at CDG next week and I'd like to take the same bus to Roissy and have an enjoyable lunch. I can't find information online about what bus number I need and I'm hoping someone here can advise (and also tell me what the current fare is so that I have the correct cash). Thanks in advance ..read more

What to do at Paris CDG from midnight to 7 AM?

The problem with a lot of Europe-North America flights is that it departs very early in the morning. I can't justify paying for an airport hotel. My plan is to take the last train to CDG. I'm guessing this will be between 22:00 and 23:00? Can someone confirm? Then I'll chill out landside before checking in. Are there plenty of seats with USB charging or power sockets available landside? I'll be first flying from CDG-AMS with KL. I'm assuming I won't be clearing exit immigration in CDG, but rather at AMS? So what time does the KL counter open? Will I get all of my boarding passes including the ..read more

We're roughly five months from the Olympics. I'll be visiting Paris again, but not during the Olympics. Are there Olympic sites up and running for tourists to visit? If so, where? I would love to drop by, take a look, and maybe take a picture or two ..read more

Best Premium Credit Card

I am currently holding an Amex AF Platinum Card. The reason for the card was mainly the Concierge Service plus the extra XP. Now I'm soon going to be Platinum for Life, so the extra XP doesn't matter anymore. And, after calling the Concierge service yesterday, they told me they are no longer allowed to help with bookings abroad (i.e., outside of France) unless the trip has been booked through them. Since I never worked with Amex Travel, this means the card lost all its value. Can anyone recommend another card (for the French market) worth looking into? I mostly care about the Concierge, maybe ..read more

We have a 9 hour layover starting at 6:00 am. Obviously we don't want to stay at CDG, Looking for close options. We go to Paris regularly and don't really want to go into the city for such a short time. I am looking for any quaint areas near the airport. Also seeking reasonable options for luggage storage during the layover. Thanks in advance ..read more

CDG Transit - Duty Free Liquids

Hey guys, I need advice on purchasing duty free liquids over 100mls and transiting at CDG for an onward flight to the US. I am travelling soon and I intend on buying some aftershave and perfumes at LHR since I found them to be relatively cheaper and have a wider range compared to CDG. I have read conflicting information on the internet that security will confiscate any duty free liquids even if placed in a STEB and some saying they will be allowed through. If I ask the cashier at LHR to place all 3 bottles in a STEB, will they go through at the security check point in CDG ..read more
