I don't know how they're getting in, but there are dozens of flying ants (I think that's what they are) in my bedroom. I killed a bunch but they're still appearing, and I'm losing sleep because they're crawling on me when I'm in bed. Does anyone know a good home remedy to keep them away, or how long they stick around?

As the title said, this happened in front of my house downtown a few days ago and I’m loosing sleep over it. I’m sick to my stomach, I did intervene from a distance to yell out to the man to leave her alone twice and a few other neighbours witnessed this. I just don’t understand how we as a society are able to tolerate this and the last few years this type of stuff is getting more prevalent. We’ve had people bumming for money while I’m taking my kids out of the car, finding needles in the street, people yelling and screaming all hours of the day and night, our car constantly getting broken in ..read more

Thought this story was interesting given all the local angst about wind mills hunting down and killing people in NL or just driving everyone crazy with infrasound. /s
A wind power project in NB is selling power to local suppliers for what seems to be less than half the cost of what NB Power charges. NB Power is concerned because they have bills to pay and this is cutting into their earnings. I'm wondering if some of the planned local wind farms were allowed to sell their power to NL hydro, etc. instead of using it to make green hydrogen if we could reduce power costs for people buying power o ..read more

Hi folks, I'm looking to get to English Harbour West from St. John's, but Google Maps is saying that it's a 6+ hour drive.
Does anyone know if there's a faster route to get there? Thanks in advance!

Burner account since this is a sensitive subject. Trying to be very generic here as to not identify.
I have a family court order between myself and ex. He has visitation on Wednesdays and Saturdays every week. 2 weeks ago he took one of our two kids on a regular Saturday visit. The other child was feeling ill so stayed home with me. He has not returned the one child. My lawyer put in an emergency order (not the first time) and it was seen by a Judge yesterday. The Judge dismissed the emergency order to return my child.
My question, how can a Judge dismiss this since there is a standing court ..read more

I ordered an item from intelcom that left Mississauga on the 21st, online when I ordered express shipping it said the 25th but on the intelcom tracking it says the 27th so that's whatever
but the thing that's really sketching me out is that outside of the fact it left Mississauga there's been no other update on where it is
should I contact the retailer I bought it from letting them know there's been no update? should I wait until the 28th?

I’m on the Avalon and have been seeing toads - which I have never seen before - all over the place. I went in the woods fishing the other day and the Forrest floor was absolutely crawling with them of all sizes, I actually had to avoid stepping on them. I’ve always seen frogs around but these things look like they’ve gotten out of control. Just wondering if anyone else noticed.

Has anyone taken the new ferry from Argentia to North Sydney? Thoughts? Hoping to take it in August, but there are no cabin available so interested in the seating areas especially. There is sadly no reserved seating on this one.
