Chris Devine, joins the Sub70 flying crew, flying a Microlight Aviation "Fly" flexiwing trike powered by a Vittorazi Moster, Coupled to an Avian Rio 15 wing. In this great article, Chris describes his reasons and move behind going on to flying Sub70 aircraft. I remeber Chris coming around to pick up his wing and Avian Rio 15, Orange and Black, and showing him the rigging procedure so that he could practice before his aircraft was delivered. Chris had seen the aircraft at the 2023 Popham airshow and was very impressed with the quality of the engineering and build and ordered the smaller of the ..read more

It was great to see another aircraft completed and delivered to a very satisfied customer. This trike had certain colour requirements that needed to be met, and using the RAL colour chart we were able to achieve this , even down to the matching embroidery on the seat. I am sure that we will see more of this trike in the air, and hear of great flying exploits. Chris was very impressed with the amount of quality detail that went into the build, here are Chris's comments"Proud owner of the version 5 Microlite Fly. You guys built a beauty. An engineering masterpiece. Can't wait to finish my train ..read more

Hi and welocome to the new site of Microlite Aviation. This has been a long journey for us to get this far, started two years ago when an idea was born by brothers Nigel & Alex. Nigel had been flying powered para-gliders and wanted Alex to start flying again, he last flew powered para-gliders in 1997 in South Africa. Having been involved in Micro-lighting in Kwa-zulu Natal and the building and navigating in competitions Alex wanted to take advantage of the fairly new Sub 70 market and get up in the air again, so the idea was born... Nigel with experience of CAD design and the manufacture ..read more

The hospitality was reall y great at the "Wings & Wheels" flyin and drive in where classic cars and bikes were al ..read more

Popham Microlite trade show was the first time our Microlite Aviation "Fly" trike was out on show to the flying world. It was a great experience and i must say"Hard Work ", but enjoyable. meeting so many great people with the enthusiasim that we have for being able to fly affordably. The aircraft had been tested extensively with great feedback from the various pilots involved, we felt it was ready to be shown off to the wider audience. Sub70, has been shown to fill the market in a certain area, opening up affordable Flexwing flying to many more pilots, who probably would have been lost to the ..read more

Recently, we attended a fly-in at Chirk Airfield and camped out there for two days. The Airfield is based in Northern Wales, atop a hill with spectacular views and flying around the area. The scenery takes in lovely old villages, water dykes, and castles. It was a really fantastic experience flying over and viewing all this great history. We met great people there all very friendly and as usual they were very impressed with the great engineering of the Microlite Aviation Flexwing trike, and the ease of flying with a small aircraft. The flexwing showing the short takeoff and landing characteri ..read more
