Hello, I’m looking for any help or input for tear down of a 2012 mazda5 6-speed manual transmission G66M-R. The transmission developed a ticking noise in the differential area. I have already removed the transmission and pulled rear cover, I plan to split the case in the next couple of days. Nothing obvious so far. Hey all, I'm new to manual world and trying to get into fixing car stuff myself. For my 2012 Mazda5 manual transmission I am looking at draining and replacing fluids. What MTX fluid would I be okay to use? Additionally, I had my 6th gear go while on a road trip while on cruise control up a small hill. Hello, long-time lurker. I have a 2008 manual GT (Canadian), and still love driving it, but I have a headlight issue that has got me really confused! So here is the issue, I keep burning out a passenger-side low beam. Checked for continuity across the pins of the connector, and here is where it gets weird, even when the car is off there is power. Have anyone lowered a MZ5? It is a tall car - little lowering might give more stability - perhaps smaller wheels can also help but it will increase to torque on Tranny/Engine! I saw a CRV that I could not recognize it - likely a 2000 model. It was lowered and they did a good job - it was being used to travel as it had a storage container on the roof. 2014 Mazda 5 AT, 88K miles, mostly short city drives all the time. Recently, I noticed that the RPM is dropping to around 750 almost always when the gas pedal is not pressed. The issue is not happening when I am driving with cruise control engaged, - the car goes normally. But as soon as I drive without cruise control and release the pedal, the RPM goes down - even when I'm rolling downhill and not pressing the gas, which I find weird.
