That also worked for me. thank you!    I had also recently updated to Sonoma, and InDesign 2024, and I started getting this annoying white flicker when attampting to edit anything, especially text.   Yes, low level coding is the best, assembler would be even faster, but like I've said before - everything depends on the end goal - or rather client's budget...    No offence, but 500 pages document isn't a sensible argument. Why anyone would have to work with such a big document - when there is a Book option? One more thing, I think you are thinking about scripting limitations from the CEP / UXP perspective.   I'm not working "from the inside" like you would normally do with JS. I have access to all the "goodies" without much of the "drawbacks". Yes, there is a much bigger lag when sending a "command" from my tool to InDesign - but there is a workaround to make it work much faster.    I think the biggest "selling point" of my tool is in the way I can show structure / contents of the InDesign file - or more than one file at a time - and then let user navigate through it and ..read more

So, thanks to you  I was able to manipulate nearly every setting within the pre-flights using javascript. However, there was one anomaly, which, for some reason isn't scriptable, even though there are sub categories in the pre-flight...     Interactive Elements, which is defined as 'ADBE_InteractiveContent' in the guide, has no rule properties to work from. Hi, Questions from VilniusTECH University about equations printing problems. We have many equations in books and journals and when exporting to PDF, they sometimes lose characters. The most interesting thing is that equations prints once with errors but the next time exporting without errors, although no corrections were made. Equations are formated with Mathtype in a MS Word file and imported to InDesign become non-editable EPS files. Changing equations fonts, PDF export profiles or Indesign versions does not help. There are unexpected issues with Variable Fonts in InDesign 2024 19.0x86 on Windows 11. The font was tested in CC 2023 on Mac, works fine in Illustrator on Windows 11 and in all other environments.   In InDesign 2024 on Windows some letters go from Bold back to Thin instead to ExtraBold or UltraBold. On top of that, the spacing and kerning is all messed up.
