So this happens with some files but not others. Here's what happens:
Text frame on page; not a primary text frame.
Deselect the frame, use the ellipsis shape tool to draw a circle, and...
...when mouse is released, the circle automatically adjusts its height/width and position to encompass as much available space as it can in the text box.
This behaviour occurs with any shape tool, including the line tool; but adding a frame with the Frame tool in any shape doesn't exhibit this behaviour. If I draw the shape within the left-hand spread (or even anywhere of the center line between page ..read more

I believe in Illustrator it will immediately check if a missing font is available on Adobe Fonts/CC and give the option to activate, but ID doesn't seem to. Not sure if I'm missing it somewhere. Super annoying to then have to check the document fonts folder, see it isn't there, go open a tab for Adobe Fonts and search for what's missing, manually activate each one..

So, I'm doing the graphic design for an exhibition, initially only in English. Turns out that it also needs to be in Arab. I've never worked with Arabic script before and I know nothing about Arab, but since I already designed the exhibition in EN, I'm giving the Arabic script a try with the help of Google Lens. I'm also following this guide: https://www.w3.org/TR/alreq/
There is already a book with the content for the exhibition in Arab, but I was told that it was designed by someone who is also not very, very experienced in Arab, so I suspect that it has a lot of mistakes.

Hey all!
I'm an undergraduate student and I'm designing a poster for a conference. The whole poster is pokemon themed, and I would really like to use pokeballs as bullet points, but I'm not sure how to do this. I've tried looking at some tutorials, but I still can't figure it out. Any help would be much appreciated

Hello,
I am a veteran ID user here, but I am still pretty green on scripting. I had taken a JS class once about three years ago, but it's one of those use-it-or-lose-it things, I think. I don't remember much, but I remember enough to read the code and see if it would work for me.
Currently, I'm working on a 250-300 page document. About 1/2 of those pages have an image on them that is oversized for the page. I would like to have a script that will allow me to select the pages that I want to work with (From page to page), scale the image proportionally (either by percentage, dimensions in i ..read more

a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing, or the file may be open in another application.
