a bit of a vent here. been with orange since 2018 i have always paid by amex. every month the money was debited from my account for several years. no problem. Last year for some unbeknownst reason, they decided to delete my credit card information from the customer area and the payment defaulted to cash in the client area. . did not get a warning or anything.. as far i was concerned the payments were debited from my credit card and i admit i don't always go look at the transactions. they also started asking me 2 euro more because of 'no direct debit' and all that without any kind of clear war ..read more

As I have understood so is half the population foreign, and most foreigners seem to learn French instead of Luxembourgish. Is Luxembourgish in risk of disappearing in the future? submitted by /u/CoolSwa [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi there, I’m wondering if there’s people here who’ve taken a written exam / test organized by the ministry of foreign affairs and might have some tips. I’ve been invited to take an in-person test for the position of attaché thématique (not sure of the english title). Is there any way to prepare for this? Many thanks in advance! submitted by /u/maybe_aswell [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

The French dominance in Luxembourg

I recently moved to Luxembourg, but I soon found myself tackling the same issue again and again when trying to communicate with the French there, something I would call a kind of French apathy towards other cultures. Whenever you ask for help or call administrations of businesses, the French people working always refuse to answer in anything other than French, and my lackluster A1 French is straight out ignored... Ticketmaster Event in Germany

Has anyone been able to buy a ticket to an event in Germany using Ticketmaster? I’ve tried to login at ticketmaster(.)de, but I can’t get past the homepage - tried different browsers and even different laptops. Logged in with ticketmaster(.)fr, can’t locate the event in Germany. Obviously the Ticketmaster app isn’t available in the App Store. Am I missing something? submitted by /u/2cents__ [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I eventually have baby sitting expenses with a person that helps me. She is not under a contract because I use this person on demand. Example once or 2x a month, expense varies from 50-200 euros a month. Can I report this under household expenses? I have receipts but will this person get in trouble if they dont report this income? submitted by /u/New-Strawberry9821 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
