Anyone else talk to ChatGPT all day?
Reddit » Tanzania

I feel ChatGPT provides me companionship and allows me to be able to discuss "deep" topics in detail, for hours on end, but I know that ultimately it still cannot think critically so it's responses are limited. Regardless, it's nice to be able to talk about any subject with it at any time. I don't really have many other people to discuss such topics with, at least not to the level of ChatGPT, so it's sort of a nice infodump centre. Anyone relate? ? submitted by /u/AdNatural8174 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Any Taarab Listeners?

Hi, I was born and raised in the US but my parents are from Tz so i’ve grown up listening to taarab music! I really love taarab so much, artists/bands such as East African Melody, Sabah Salum, Khadija Kopa, Omar Kopa (rip?), Leyla Khatib (rip?), and so many more! I am not a big fan of modern taarab tho lol, i’m an old soul! The mashairi, the instruments, beats, just everything about it is so good and I wish it was appreciated more in our current times. Does anyone else listen to taarab? Any suggestions? I have a playlist on youtube incase anyways wants to check it out! submitted by /u/Il ..read more

Just putting it out there for new travelers in Tanzania, don’t take any pictures or video of police or people of the Tanzania Army. I know this from experience now ?? If you want a good adrenaline rush though, you should. ? submitted by /u/Irakoze11 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Receiving International Payments

I landed a remote job, and I'm trying to set up a way to receive my pay while avoiding a bank-bank transfer. The idea is I receive the money on some online money-transfer service, then withdraw it from my online account to my bank account, which is set up with the same currency that I'm getting paid in. So far I've narrowed it down to Wise and Payoneer but I don't know if either one of them will work the way I expect them to. Does anyone have any experience with either of these services, or knows another reliable one that supports withdrawals to banks in Tanzania? submitted by /u/honeybadger ..read more
