I've been fishing ohio waters for about 30 years now and I've never caught a black catfish. It looks a good bit different than a blue. Its tail fin is more flat instead of notched pointed. It's not a channel or yellow bullhead. I dont think it's a flathead. Could it be a black bullhead? Caught it in a private pond on the outskirts of columbus ..read more

I was wondering if any of you guys have fished silver lake metro park (not the river) for channel cats. I'm relatively new to catfishing so any advice about this place helps. What bait works best and how large is an average channel cat caught from there?
