Alright, I suppose maybe this will help some one some day.
A simple and often overlooked fact of life is the following: people want what they don't have.

I guess it is a Mother's Day thing. Despite the fact that I am almost 40 and at my sister's wedding reception, I sat in a corner playing my PS Vita. My sister's husband's parents asked me if I had a girlfriend. I told them no; I explained my time is not worth much but has enough worth not to waste my time on such endeavors. Okay, so...
A month ago, I started a new relationship with someone that I met on an app for Autistic individuals. She also became friends with a friend I had made in February from social groups that I attend. They both go through similar struggles and can relate a lot.

Hi, new member here.
Not really looking for anything specific except maybe a place to vent some thoughts or get some advice. Am nearly 30 now, I've had friends throughout some periods of my life but never that many and never longer than a few years at most. People always just kind of dissapear after some time.
I have my girlfriend and family and that's it. And I'm okay with that, there are certainly times I wish I did but it is what it is.

In reading the various posts in this section, I see that most posters don't see the difference between happiness and contentment.
Contentment is better than happiness because happiness is only temporary and momentary. Let me explain by citing an example.
