Hello,
I have a Raleigh Retroglide ie that I purchased a couple years ago. It has a detachable rear mount battery that is made by TranzX. The model of the battery is BL-07.
The battery has a standard wall-plug charger that has a 4-pin XLR connector type.
The battery has a power button that when you press, it will show you the charge level. The battery does turn on and indicates it is low (1 bar illuminates).
However, when I plug in the battery to charge, nothing happens. The light on the...

Hi All,
I hope you are doing well.
I can see a used ebike for sale. It's Raleigh Array. I think it was sold in 2018.
From what I see it hasn't been used much over the years.
What is the lifespan of these batteries? I reckon it was kept in a shed or garage. I reckon storage can have impact on the battery lifespan.
Do you know if Raleigh is battery replacement friendly brand?
On their website they suggest buying a new bike if a user thinks about replacing the battery.
From what I can see...

Hi All,
I have a Raleigh Array e-bike that I brought to commute to work. I bought it the week before the Covid lockdown started, and only returned to the office a couple of weeks ago. So although I've owned it for over two years (so out of warranty), I've only used it about a dozen times total.
I charged it on Tuesday after returning home from work. After charging, it now displays a fault code 34 (Batter voltage error), and refuses to work normally. I've measured the voltage, its showing...

My neighbor offered me a non-functioning Raleigh Spirit step through with a newer 48v battery, year 2017. It has a Currie drive system, up to now no one has been able to diagnose drive issue, much less fix. I've spent a few hours looking over the printed info and on internet searches. I think both Currie and Raleigh may be failed ebike operations? The later Spirits used Bosch drives. Any chance one of the popular mid drive kits would work?
But .... this bike would suit me! I'm 70 years...

I recently purchased a very nice Raleigh Sprite iE for my wife. It's our first e-bike and we were quickly impressed. Now all three of the rubber buttons on the Currie/TranzX DP27 control switch/display have failed making the bike inoperable. Is there a way to find a replacement? I have sent inquiries to the US TranzX distributor and a few other online sources with no replies. Is there a current switch display that has the same 5-pin female connector and would offer the same...

So far ive only got the 1 ebike, which is a converted old green 1972 Raleigh. It runs a 250w rated hub (36v, 7a) but that have been over volted to 48v at 17a to give me a bit over 800w. It rattles along at around 40kph which is pretty good for a 48 year old steel bike.
I have plans to build another with the same type of hub but I want to lace it to the original rims so I can keep the factory size wheels.
The blue one is the one I plan to convert next. As with the green one, all the...

My bike just started resetting today. The display goes blank, sometimes the 4th power bar led blinks then it resets and works normally. There are 5 battery Bars on the display so it would be the 80% bar, it blinks by itself. I did replace the handle bar today but was careful and did not stretch the cable or kink it in anyway. I took it for a 3 mile ride after and it worked normally. Later I took it to grab some lunch and it started randomly cutting out.
Can’t find a online manual for...

First off, let me say this; I have been a Raleigh customer since childhood, so it made sense to me to purchase 2 Raleigh LOREs, one for me and one for my wife. I have commuted on my Raleigh for over 3 years and over 17,000 miles in all kinds of weather year round. The original battery stills functions perfectly and all of my expectations have been surpassed with this purchase…but then the frame cracked.
For an American distributor representative to nit-pick on a cracked frame warrantee...
