It’s time soon for my next workwear capsule and thought I should talk about some options when it comes to accessories! I’m a heels girlie (a lot has to do with having a 6’4 husband) but I know not everyone is so I’ve rounded up some shoes, belts, and jewelry all from Amazon to make that work wardrobe stretch on a budget!
Sam Edelman Heels | Blouse (L) | Pants (14)
I loved all of these options that feel very old money without being a lot of money. I’m also seeing a lot of woven and sheer flats but still not sure if I’m 100% on board with the trend so I love finding alternative (less expensive ..read more

I can’t believe that summer is almost HERE! With Memorial Day Weekend and July 4th around the corner, stores are starting to put out all the GREAT red, white, and blue Americana outfits and I’m here for it!
Moving to Denver it still has been chilly so I mixed in some sweaters along with cute dresses and of course swimsuits (Hello MDW is typically when pools open so I’ve got to be ready)!!
If you are looking for some red, white, and blue home finds for your summer BBQ head HERE.
For reference I’m 5’5, size 12, 38DD. I list the sizes I’m wearing below each image and give my fit tips based ..read more

Since I started working from home several years ago my wardrobe has morphed from having only comfy athleisure and business suits to a variety of styles including a more dressed down everyday look.
Moving to Denver was a pretty big shock on HOW dressed down everyone in this area is (think hoodies and sweat pants everywhere) but I wanted to keep some of my TX roots and feel like I have a balanced everyday look of jeans, shorts and casual dresses. These are some of my favorite outfits for everyday casual.
If you are looking for my favorite denim shorts head HERE, spring denim styles head HERE, an ..read more

It’s getting warmer, so it’s time to break out those shorts! If you’re anything like me, you know it can be a struggle to find a great pair of denim shorts. Sure, some might look great on the size 2 model, but when slipping them over my size 12 thighs or zipping them over my mama pooch they don’t quite look or feel the same as in the picture.

I’m also all about shorts that are not too short because… well, thigh rub is real.
In my experience, what works for one woman as their “favorite shorts” may not be what is best for my body, and that comes ..read more

Finally, we are seeing some warmer weather, and especially since I just spent a couple of weeks in Texas last month there are definitely some places that need warm weather workwear!
If you are new here, I’m a former corporate recruiter and spent over 12 years in business suits. In the past few years, many workplaces have gone to a more casual dress code. I try to mix my love for a classic professional look with a more dressed-down vibe.
Also, I LOVE heels – my husband is 6’4, so I’m just used to them. If you need some ideas for flats or more workwear accessories and shoes, head HERE ..read more

It’s spring and while the sports in CO are on a different schedule we are about to start back with outdoor sports (even with some spring snow!) Now we are NOT a club sports family, more like a let’s give it a try and do your best kind of sports mode but I have learned having the right equipment makes for a much easier season.
Not to mention that since I am both a kid Uber driver and cheer section I like to be comfy yet cute when I’m headed to and from all the activities. Here are a few things that I like to have on hand for sports, in my mom mob ..read more

Over the past few years, it’s felt hard to keep up with what jean styles are “in” what I’ve learned though is I’m concerned most with what fits my BODY vs the trend of the moment.. I mean have you seen the “barrel jeans” trend yuck!
I carry most of my weight in my butt and thighs while having an H-shaped rear (explained in this post) making styles that cinch at the waist VERY uncomfortable.
This season I’ve tried to hunt down jeans at a variety of price points perfect for spring styling! If you want to see more of my favorites as the season progresses I’ll save them HERE.
