Looking for info on Gemini 15 ft catamaran

Hi, recently bought older Gemini 15 ft catamaran (Vic, Australia), and looking for any information on rigging and setup. Seller wasn't very helpful, and I assumed, wrongly, that would be easy enough to find user manual or similar on internet. Only Gemini that comes up are cruisers, so wondering if the 15 ft model was brief fling, or maybe it's a custom. Would greatly appreciate anyone who has info or knows where to look.  ..read more

Cracked top piece on my Maricat

Unfortunately my Maricat mast got a whack yesterday falling which cracked the top peice which looks like it’s aluminium cast. It is still functional but probably I should get it repaired for price of mind assuming replacing it is ridiculously expensive? Can you get aluminium welded and where would you do it? Or dare I say it - some sort of metal bonding glue ..read more

Hi all, I've just purchased a Hydra cat. I have 2 main sails, No 878 and 1119. I'm on the Sunshine Coast QLD. I'm actually after the nylon ball for the mast rotation and wondering where I might acquire that and possibly the stainless stud too. Regards Paul. pauleddison70@gmail.com ..read more

I'm bringing an old Hydra 16 back to life and in need of some knowledge and tips. On the bottom of the hull, surrounding where the centreboard comes out, there was obviously an attachment or fixture of sorts that kind of sheaths the centreboard. What is this part called? Where could I get my hands on a couple? If I need to make the parts myself any tips on materials, construction technique etc? Cheers ..read more

14' Beach Cat for 2 Up Sailing

Hi all,  I'm looking for a beach catamaran to learn to sail with my sons (12 and 15). I would like to be able to take them (one at a time) with me when sailing, but am really not sure what small beach catamarans are suitable for two-up sailing. I've read that the Hobie 14 is really a one-personal boat, but haven't come across a lot info on the others. I'm not after or expecting top speed/performance with two aboard, but just having a boat that can sail well and support the weight (between 105 and 135kg with 2 aboard). We would also like to do a lilttle camp cruising when the weather is ni ..read more

Afternoon all, been a while.  As cleaning out from his mother's estate, my father has to find a new home for his Arrow Cat.  Timber hulls, I believe we have all the rigging.  Unusually it's been built with a solid deck not tap.  It needs a new home of anybody knows of one before it gets added to the bonfire.  Hasn't been used for a while, but has been stored out of the weather before last weekend, it probably needs a little work, but the price is right (ie, free).  I'll try and get some pics up later today ..read more
