Bora Bora 7 day honeymoon in May

Planning for our honeymoon in May. I think we’re down to Conrad Bora Bora, St Regis Bora Bora, Four Seasons and Intercontinental. We want to stay around $10k for 5 nights in Bora Bora and 2 nights in another island like Moorea or Papaete. Is this doable? I know we’re a little late in planning but hoping we can still find good package deals. Also, any experience with any of the resorts mentioned? submitted by /u/hellostranger57 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Aruba vs US Virgin Islands?

Just got married! We decided to do a delayed honeymoon and are finally starting to plan. Looking for late May or early July. We currently have our eyes set on Aruba or USVI (St Thomas). Hoping to spend about 5 nights there and would love to book our hotel with Chase Sapphire points. If we can get the hotel covered, we’d have 3-4k to spend on everything else (flights, food, excursions etc). Would love to hear experiences from anyone who has been to one or both islands! submitted by /u/acnhwoo [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi, myself and my fiance are looking into going on a red sea cruise for our honeymoon. Can anyone reccomend ships that offer iteniaries there please? Would be looking for egypt and jordan to be included. Do any of the big ships that are popular in the Mediterranean offer trips in the red sea? I cant seem to find any online, they all look like smaller liners for that area. Any other tips welcome thanks submitted by /u/Elnino-2 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Virgin Islands??

Due to extenuating circumstances my fiancé and I have had to wait to book our honeymoon until now, and our wedding is May 18. Our budget is around 4k. The biggest problem is that I don’t have a passport! I’ve never been out of the country so I didn’t realize how passports can be so backed up and take long. I’m in college three hours away from my home state and haven’t had a day I can drive home to apply for it. That said, are there any good resorts in the Virgin Islands, in case I can’t get a passport in time? That are within our budget? Thanks!! submitted by /u/lunastarcamp [visit reddit ..read more

NYC or Waikiki? (Or something else?)

My fiancé and I are getting married April 20th and would like to take our honeymoon from October 1-15. Originally we wanted to go to Europe, but I don’t have a passport yet, and the name change stuff would take a while, so we’d like to keep it in the US. We’re from San Diego, and are considering NYC (he’s already been) or Waikiki (I’ve already been), but we can’t seem to agree on a spot. Budget is around ~$10k for 14 days. Any ideas?! All suggestions welcome! Edit: I hate being hot, and I worry about hurricane season so anywhere southeast is not ideal. submitted by /u/mugglebornalways [visit ..read more

We cannot agree where to honeymoon

My fiancé and I cannot agree where to honeymoon—and it’s been months. Neither of us have a ton of vacation time because we both work a lot. And he will have to answer some phone calls for work while we are on our honeymoon. I am not upset about this—he works really hard for us because we want to buy a house and I understand how his job is. Anyways, I wanted to go to Europe or Australia. But he said he doesn’t want to go that far and be in a totally different time zone because of his job. Also, he doesn’t like to fly so I think that has also contributed it to it, because he doesn’t want to be ..read more

We’re trying to decide what to do for our Honeymoon from around 27th December 2024 to 3rd January 2025 but completely stuck. We live in Bangkok but will be getting married in England on 21 December. We then want to head off somewhere on honeymoon just after Christmas but we need to be back in Bangkok for work by 5th Jan. We are just super stuck on what to do. Initially we were thinking of doing something in Thailand but as we live here and holiday here regularly, nothing seemed to be honeymoon ‘worthy’ that was also within our budget (approx £5k). Then we thought New York but various things h ..read more

St. Lucia Ladera - Excursion Planning?

For those of you who have been or frequent the island. Me and my future wife are planning our honey moon and I was wondering the best way to plan excursions? Obvious the best price/experience is the goal. Someone suggested using the VIATOR app to plan. It seems very convenient but wondering if you’re paying for that convenience. I know when we go to Mexico we NEVER pay full price for excursions we always negotiate. It was like $250 per person to swim with the dolphins and we ended up both going for $125 total. Was wondering if it is similar here. Is it better to plan them ahead or book while ..read more
