As far as Waukesha and Milwaukee county ponds has anyone heard if any ponds have been stocked with trout yet? According to the DNR website nothing has been stocked this year yet but I hear rumors that say otherwise. Since fishing on urban ponds is not allowed for 16+ until April 27th I can’t confirm for myself. Can anyone else confirm or if not when it might be stocked?

I need some spots to potentially shore fish in or near waupaca County. I'm looking for somewhere with pretty big northern and cats. I just catch and release so not worried about eating. Also need a good supply of bluegill in the area. So any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I’m up north (north of highway 64) with friends for the weekend and obviously there’s no ice but I’m itching to throw a line in.
I’ve researched that you can’t harvest bass/pike until May but can “catch and release at any other time of the year”, per the DNR website Is this true? Can I legally fish if I catch and release and have a fishing liscense? I would be targeting bass since all I have is spinner baits at the moment.
Not trying to break the rules and get a ticket!

Just curious to if people are catching walleye from shore yet, I know it’s still pretty early for the walleye run. I’ve been out 3 times and haven’t caught anything from shore. Taking the boat out this weekend hoping to get on some fish! Curious to what people are catching them on and what colors people are using

So I know the harvest season for walleye is closed at the moment but can you still fish for them if you're not planning on keeping any? (Would be fishing the Wisconsin River)

Hey friends,
I'll be in the Kenosha area in June for family matters and wanted to ask a few questions before I get out there.
If I were to buy a cheap-ish one at Walmart or somewhere else, what is the one size/action you would recommend for a do-it-all rod?
I mainly bass and trout fish, but really am open to whatever would get me the most action while out there. Will probably try and get my niece into fishing as well as she's expressed interest!
I have a 2 piece, 4'8 ultralight I could bring, but otherwise I'd probably just get a combo at walmart that I could leave with my niece for her to us ..read more
