I parked my car at the Shehawken boat ramp today. Someone who clearly should not own a boat hit me. I have his plate number but, if anyone knows this moron, please have him/her contact me before I call the Game Wardens. It's on Federal land; the penalties aren't local hit and run. I'd prefer to deal with this moron than report him, cuz I'm a nice guy ..read more

Fished a Class A C&R stream this morning and it was quite the delight. Literally, it was a catch fest of browns and a few brookies. Most of the fish were in the 8-10 inch size and a few nice fish up to 18 inches. The bug life is picking up also. Plenty of stick caddis on the rocks, small caddis and olives coming off along with the usual midges. Didn't see any noses yet, all fish were nymphed ..read more

I fished the last 3 weekends on the Brodhead at the Evergreen section, which is not stocked. While there aren't near as many fish as the stocked sections, there are some nice fish in it. I have never caught anything but browns there. I got the triple skunk! Really heavy leaf action over that period, and I have never figured out how to catch much in those conditions. Because of all the rain we seemed to get just about every Friday in late September and early October, I didn't go then as the... Read more ..read more

Hi, Can anyone provide me with some info on a fly shop located on the Lackawaxen river in Rowland PA. The shop was owned by Charlie Bright. A wet fly that came from that shop was the Lackie Special. I remember doing a feature on it years ago but I'm not certain where I posted it. At 75 things are a bit foggy so anything to help point me in the right direction is appreciated. Alan ..read more

I was doing my photography thing for the FUDR one Bug on Saturday. First time since 2019 (due to that covid BS that the terrorists sponsored (You know... Faucci and Crue)). I really wasn't up there to fish since I need to replace the bearings on my trailer and the conditions weren't supposed to be ideal anyway. That didn't stop me from bringing 10,000 flies and my other equipment. The weather called for lots of rain, wind, and water that would be off-color and too high to wade fish... Read more ..read more
