Asking for a friend who has just started their course at University of Manchester and is looking for part time job opportunities. They came across Remote Recruit, which I think is based out of London. Wanted to know the legitimacy of this company and if others here have taken up part time jobs/ freelancing through Remote Recruit. Thanks!

My partner and I are looking at moving to Manchester, with the idea of settling down and starting a family. We would be looking at spending around 250k on a 2-3 bedroom house and would like this to be in a safe and pleasant area that is commutable (under 30 mins?) to central Manchester. Ideally a town with its own identity, restaurants and shops etc rather than a "rural" location. Any recommendations would be much appreciated as we are totally new to the area, any places to definitely avoid would also be really helpful. Thanks so much!

I had a van hit and run into my Smart ForFour. Are there any body shops in Manchester that are worth recommending? Hoping to get another quote or two as my current one is £700+ unfortunately

An American friend has asked me to buy some city shirts for her sons. Anyone know where I can get ones, ideally cheap?
Genuine ones are an arm and a leg.

Hey!
I've been messing around with Poi for a few months and learned a few tricks off YouTube, and I'm wanting to expand and jam with others too!
Does anyone know of any groups in Manchester? There's a decent sized group in Liverpool but I'm wanting something closer to home.
Thanks?

One of the tall ones at Deansgate Square, Beetham Tower, Greengate, Angel Square etc. What are the flats and amenities like?
How are the views?
What are the glass towers like during hot summer days?
What are they like in stormy weather? Can you feel the building sway in the wind?

Hi, my girlfriends from Manchester and I’m four hours away down south. It’s her birthday in October and I wanna propose. Not officially, but kind of like a little special promise thing. Since I’m not from Manchester I don’t have much ideas but I know i want it to be just us. I’m starting to think a rooftop somwhere? But I’d need to know that no one’s going to be there. We both love deansgate it’s very special to us so hopefully some of you know somwhere private we can go there?

Does anybody have any idea where I could find Congolese food in Manchester (Ntaba, Kwanga, Fumbwa etc)? Since Congo Kitchen closed down there has been none at all. Alternatively If you are someone or have family that cook and sell batches of food please message me as I would love to purchase some. Really sad - some of the nicest African food and none of it being showcased in such a big city.

As the title says, I'm after somewhere (preferably near the city centre) that possibly sells a selection of "real" ciders like you get in the country. The closest thing to it I've seen is some old rosie is some pubs, but I've had my fill of that yonks ago
