I have been hunting for a Hertz 2023 Bolt EV or EUV in California but haven't been able to snag one. Been close on 6 of them but someone got there before me each time! Most of the 2023's at the stealerships here in CA are priced $20-25K still but in other parts of the country they are $15-17k. Looking at a 2020 Bolt LT that has been on my Chevy dealer's lot listed for 20K as a "certified" vehicle with an extended dealer warranty. It has been there for several weeks. The Carfax doesn't mention any battery replacement. Although it is listed as an LT, it also (supposedly) includes heated seats and several options that I thought were only available on the higher level. I think with subsidies I might get it for about $15K. Are there gotchas here? What should I be looking for? Ok, I know this is a series of seemingly silly questions - I am using a Chevy Bolt EV in my EV conversion project, and I'm working on the door locks. I was able to turn the old USB to USB-c and it seems to be charging faster than it would if you were just using an adapter cable. I did this because my old port went bad so there is no way to compare. I am getting roughly 2.0amps at 5V, so that's 10W. Google tells me the USB 3.1 is limited to 900mA (.9A) so it seems I am doing better. Quite surprised because it is plugged into an old style USB internally. My neighbor accidentally hit the passenger mirror of my ‘23 Bolt EV while playing catch with his dog, ugh. Just ordered a replacement glass from the dealership and was wondering if anyone here has ever tried replacing their side mirrors themselves. I got quoted $180 for labor costs for replacement and the replacement glass itself is already ~$120 including taxes.
