Case in point, Mali’s latest social media post on the new tram overpasses. Even the wording gives off the vibe of “these pesky trams are getting in the way of our roads, so we’re getting them out of your way, so you can drive even more in your car!!” I support level crossing removals, but can’t help but feel like almost all transport funding is for the benefit of cars and broadening private vehicle use.
