Would you do this?

Today I got a 32$ order for 4 tacos at Taco Bell, as expected it was too good to be true and was told that some lady already picked it up and multiple people have come for it. A similar sitation happened before and after canceling that order I thought, what if I just paid for it myself and delivered it? And that is what I did today the order totaled to 9$ and the base fare was 26$. In my opinion this is one of the rare times driver screwed over Uber because I doubt the customer is paying 26 base for a 4 mi order, in a albeit small way. So my question to you is would you/ should you do this an ..read more

UberEATS Surges

I’m in Atlanta, GA. I’m interested to know if UberEATS cut out surges in other markets. I’ve been delivering for years. And for years, I knew certain areas would be surging at certain times. For a good while now, there’s been no surge offers, even though the app alludes to possible “surges”. Now, delivering in the same areas I expect “surges”, there is no extra incentive, but I get requests back to back to back. So many requests, I can’t see the address I’m supposed to be delivering to because I keep getting new requests. (And most of them ain’t worth accepting). I know there’s high demand. A ..read more

Anyone ever go back and give a tip back?

Had an order today for Thai food and when I arrived it was an elderly couple that I handed the food to. They tipped me $20 dollars cash but later on I also got a tip in the app for 13. I feel so bad. They are elderly and probably didn’t understand the tipping. Anyone ever have a similar situation? Do you think they would be uncomfortable if I went back to their house in the morning? submitted by /u/Saskatchemoose [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Unicorn

Had a short day. Had an order that was $28 for two orders. It stated that one of the orders was a heavy order and the drop off was only 6 miles away with the 2nd drop off 10 miles further. Decided to take it and see. Turned out the large order was the closer order so I canceled the 2nd order and waited 20 mins for the first. Got an addon order while I was waiting for the first for around the corner from my drop off. So I took it to. Score! Checked it a couple hours later and to my surprise. Got an Email On Fraud

I've never had to call and cancel an order. I'm pretty livid. I had an order with a sealed bag and it fell over after some twat cut me off. I got flagged for fraud even though I asked customer service to issue a reorder. On top of that my car still smells like old coffee and churros from the damn syrup and milk. Next time I'm gonna leave the customer the screwed up order at the door and apologize. Not worth me getting deactivated over fraud. I only make a $100 maybe every couple of weeks since Door Dash pays hourly now and Walmart Spark orders pay well in my area. Uber can suck it. subm ..read more
