How is the C20 from Gobabis to Mariental? Last year we drove the tar road via Windhoek, thinking that the higher speeds possible on tar would make up for the longer distance. We are not sight seeing, just making our way back home to Cape Town. T4A shows that the C20 is about 1hr shorter than via Windhoek ..read more

My husband and I are excited first timers to Namibia and this sort of camping trip (the only other experience was Iceland but it wasn’t on a 4x4) and below I’ve detailed our trip up until today and I’ll keep updating it as and when I get internet. Day 1. Landed in Windhoek after a long and uncomfortable flight from UK > Frankfurt > Windhoek. Hi, We will be in Namibia in two weeks (very excited first timers) and have the following itinerary planned out.
