ADAM SMITH: National Junior Men’s Cycling Team!
Our featured athlete of the month is Provincial Team member – Adam Smith. Adam is currently a grade 12 student at St. Paul’s High School who began competing in endurance sports at the young age of 6. He started by racing Kids of Steel triathlons and transitioned into cycling by joining Kids of Mud and then Cycling Manitoba’s Development Program when he was 12. We are now only 4 months away from the MB Summer Games August 11-17th, 2024 in Dauphin. Cycling (mountain biking) is in the first phase of the Games from Aug 11-14th with athletes participating in the Opening Ceremonies and racing on Aug 12 and 13th on the Selo Ukrainia race course (Northgate Trails). *UPDATE**
Qualifier/Selection Races – there are now FIVE (5) CONFIRMED qualifier races with the first coming up in a couple of weeks. All the races are listed on the event calendar on the Manitoba Cycling website.

First launched in 2019, our Multi-Sport Program partnered with Speed Skating, Cross-Country Ski and Cycling to provide exposure to four different endurance sports over four months of programming.
