I am going to replace the lens on the driver side outer tail light on my 2013 Avalon. I haven't been able to find a video of this. Can someone tell me how this is do? I believe that removing the black plastic piece is the first step, but not sure how to remove it and don't want to break it. If it prys off, where is the best place to pry on it? Do I have to pull away the trunk liner to get the lens off?     ..read more

2007 Avalon 132K Recently purchased. Brakes work fine but pedal has a little resistance when first pressed and "creaking" noise when pressing or releasing brake pedal. Seems to be coming from white plastic cylinder (see photo - with rubber bellows pushed back ) This cylinder is lubricated and does not seem to be binding. Noise seems to be coming from booster on the other side of the firewall but booster seems to work fine. Previous owner said he had recently changed the master cylinder. New Member/1st post. 2d owner of car. Friends with original owner. On the way to work this morning. BRAKE and ABS light comes on. Noticed AC isn't cooling. Stopped for breakfast. On restart all lights off. AC cooling. Same occurs. Get to work open hood and check fuses/relays/wiring all is ok. Notice electric fans aren't working. Get back in, scan gauges. TEMP gauge is bottomed at cold as if car is off. Car is running. ABS/BRAKE still on AC not working. Turn car off. Restart. All dash lights are off/AC is cooling/electric fans are running. I had to have airbag and sensor replaced in my 2007 Limited. I just noticed that the steering wheel will not adjust up or down. It will slide in and out, but not up or down. Any ideas what could cause this?  ..read more

Howdy fellow Avvy owners. I bought a '12 Base in excellent condition back in '17.  Was about to get a Camry but sister suggested I look at Avvys and was amazed to find them priced same and even cheaper. Got it with 35k on it, now up to 90k. I split the driving time between it and my truck.  During the 55k I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever w it. Love everything about so much I bought a second one, '15 XLE Touring, 68k and in excellent cond, needed tires and brakes. I've put Bridgestone Turanza Quiettracks on both cars. I have a 2015 Avalon XLE with 57000 miles.  For about 4 months now I am hearing an intermittent rattling sound coming from the aft right under the hood. It sounds like water boiling but the temperature gauge shows no sign of overheating.  I thought it may be in the internal heating system but it too works as advertised.  The worse part is the sound comes and goes but intermittently in all different driving and weather conditions.  Has anyone out there have a similar problem?     Dave Sonnenberg  ..read more

2008 Toyota Avalon , very nice , clean machine. Belonged to my grandmother, has Firestone tires in great shape. Heated cooled seats, moonroof , rides and drives excellently. Gets 28.5 -29 mpg in town. Ac works! Good brakes , no accidents.  My father and I have had possession of the car for little of a year.
