Hello All, Seems like several threads on this warning, but wanted to confirm some specifics and latest information: 1. My S is P100D, 2016.5, I scheduled service, but the nearest appointment available to me is over a month away! With this error, is the car actually safe to drive? Or should I be sidelined for until Tesla makes time for me? Should I drive with some precautions? 2. Can anyone confirm if Tesla will cover part or all of this repair under the 8 year battery warranty? I've... Read more ..read more

New wheel design looks pretty spiffy!

Wasn't sure if the machining design would look good, and since these were just for the track/check clearances, figured I'd give it a try. Turned out way better than expected. These are factory specs on 19". Weigh about 3 pounds less than the 19" OEM with hubcaps on. Need to implement a design change on one aspect of it, then will get a set in 21" with a machined lip around the entire wheel instead of broken up like it is ..read more

Looking for some help!! I have a '17 MS 100D with MCU1, FSD paid for, upgraded computer and cameras. I asked why I still haven't been enrolled to beta (opted in over a year ago) and was told that I need to upgrade to MCU2 because the Tegra system couldn't handle FSD. I stated that was incorrect, that vehicles with MCU1 have FSD and they said I would need to provide VIN numbers as proof. Looking for people to send VIN numbers that have MCU1 and FSD and which software version to prove the... Read more ..read more

Hello all! New to the Tesla community, loving things for the most part so far. With that said I have a new funny little sound coming from the dash of my 2014 Model S. I've scoured the internet for good examples and of course came across one here in a forum but the post went dead before any real information was posted. The original poster had a great video up with the audio so I have reposted that link here (mad thanks to tubaprde who posted the vid and original thread). Any thoughts based... Read more ..read more

Hey guys, I have a 2014 P85 and I’m hoping someone can help me identify what an error notification I have actually means, and if I should actually contact Tesla about it. Message: Cabin climate control needs service THC_d0021_RCCMActuator: Contact Tesla Service AC seems to be working fine, gets nice and cold, though the refrigerant does bubble a bit, which can be heard from within the cabin. Any ideas ..read more

Help Evaluating Battery Analysis

I am looking at a used Tesla, model S. 2012, 85, RWD. It has 202,000 miles. Yes I know that is very high I paid the owner to take it to Tesla for a pre-purchase inspection and they looked at a lot of the basics (no major red flags) and then he had them do a battery analysis so I can gauge the current battery degradation. He provided it to me but it doesn’t mean much to me. I guess Im surprised this can’t be distilled down to a cycle count or battery percentage. Could someone help in... Read more ..read more
