While doing research some Youtuber said that the jackpot is finding an old model s with a new battery, since that is considered almost new. Last night I was driving my Tesla on the interstate 10 outside of Palm Springs California, I was doing approximately 75 miles an hour, I had the cruise control on, I had the radio some nice music and my wife was asleep in the front seat of the car. All of a sudden warning my Tesla slammed on the brakes and we went from 75 mph down to 20 mph until I could react. With the hype around CT at fever pitch, when do you think the next major model s refresh will happen? 48v architecture, perhaps rear steering and hopefully 500 miles of range that CT could not deliver. I have a brand new MSLR that I picked up a few weeks ago. Overall I love it, however, when I go between 35 and about 70mph while just coasting I hear a faint whistle. It’s not wind noise, it’s definitely from the motor but for the life of me I can’t tell if that is how the car is supposed to sound or if it’s not and I should take it in to service. Either way, are you all hearing silence during coasting or do your motors whistle quietly as well?
