Hi Everyone. New to the community here. I have had this 2017 Ford Fusion for almost a year now. Ever since I bought it, it had this dash issue that is shown in the photo. That piece has poked out like that on both sides. It is quite annoying to look at and sometimes makes a small noise while driving that goes away when I press down on it. SO I know all about the noisy A/C compressors on these cars, but I'm wondering if mine needs to be serviced? Normally on hot days here when I start the car it is very loud as normal, but after running for a bit and the car cools off the noise goes away. However lately it has been running and making the noise a lot more often. I left the house at about 4am this morning, had the AC on 74F and the fan only on 1. I have a 2016 fusion I’m working on ( titanium 2.0 eco boost) and the key is acting odd, it says I need 2 batteries sized at 2025 but I have 2032s I know the size is a little off but they’re both 3v. For the past 2 summers I've noticed my AC is just not blowing as cool anymore. My last fusion had the exact same issue and I think it was the dreaded water pump failure issue. I'm about 80% sure it's the same thing again but I'm hoping you guys might tell me it might be something different. If I recall the last time this happened (different vehicle) the mechanic said he could replace the water pump but it could happen again or something. I also remember the repair being expensive.
