I'm not really a Filson guy, as their prices are pretty steep. But I know they make good, quality stuff. I've had my eye for several years though, on their Skagit Waterfowl Jacket. It's got great features, and it's even in my favorite all-time camo pattern, Mossy Oak Original Shadow Grass. Problem is, the price has been stuck on $425 for years. I couldn't justify that price. They finally decided to discontinue it, and the price dropped to $300. Still too steep for me. Then, I saw it a couple...

Oh my ... where has everyone gone? This used to be one of the most active forums on the Fuge. Not even any discussion of the M's. No fishing reports from the fisherman..me included.
Spring has sprung .. must be some fishing going on or ? Turkeys ? Wood duck box cam?
I've been tying a few flies. The one on the left has a hackle of Blackduck flank feather from a bird killed over a couple of cork BD decoys I made and sent to an Army buddy of my son Paul. The buddy lives in MD. BD killed...

For decades the family guys have gone on an extended weekend-plus fishing trip each May. The past 20 years or so, we have opted for flyfishing. This year, we decided to go up north, back to a lake we used to go to to try for some bigger trout. It paid off! The "basic" rainbows were really plump 12-14 inchers. About 40-50% were bigger ones, in the 18" range. The "biggies" were 5 lbs. plus. My father in Law and nephew, as well as a friend of mine, all caught the biggest trout of their lives...

I've wanted to try a 20 gauge for awhile now. In my first few years of hunting back in the 70's, I switched back and forth between my 12 gauge Browning Side-by-Side and an old 20 gauge Mossberg Pump. That was back in the lead days. I actually still own both of those guns. Anyway, I finally landed on a Stoeger 3020 Auto. It has the same inertia setup as my Benelli SBE 3, but the sticker-shock is way less. I finally get to take it home tomorrow. (Don't even get me started on the ridiculous...

Adventure sports in lynnwood, wa closed. The owner appears to have retired, and I found out by stopping by and seeing a hand written sign.
I unfortunately have a shotgun that was on consignment there...There are a couple dozen snow goose floaters on the shop floor which were never there when the shop was open..
I'll try shoving a note under the door to get a call back.
But just in case does anyone have contact info for him/anyone associated ..read more
